SHM Landscape

I am a landscape architect in Atlanta, GA. We hired SHM Landscape to implement a design that I drew for a renovation of my parents' backyard. This renovation included medium levels of grading and clearing, hardscape installation, retaining wall installation, a comprehensive drainage system, as well as laying sod. The goal of the project, which was definitely achieved, was to fix an extreme erosion problem as well as be aesthetically pleasing. This company was a pleasure to work with. Ryan and Khaldoun were extremely friendly and responsive through email, text, and phone calls. Their crew was professional and pleasant to work with. They were knowledgeable, skilled, and were very good at modifying parts of the design on the fly due to site conditions. Due to weather conditions, the project took longer than expected, but when able to work, the crew was efficient and hardworking. Right now we just have pine straw down, but plan to fully landscape all the beds come the fall when temperatures are more forgiving. It already looks worlds different than it did before, but once the landscape is in, it will look even better! I would highly recommend them to any of our close friends.

We had a terrific experience with SHM. They responded to our inquiry via Houzz quickly, came out to look at our outdoor space at a time that was convenient for us, and gave us a very reasonable estimate within 24 hours of our initial meeting. Ryan, Khaldoun, and their employees were all incredibly nice, extremely professional, and committed to helping us realize our vision. We couldn't be happier with our new stepping stones and gravel border.

We initially received a few different quotes for our backyard renovation which included 3 levels of retaining walls, grading, sod, fencing, and a new stone patio. SHM came in way less than everyone else and did a fantastic job. Unlike some of the other designers we interviewed Ryan also seemed more intent on implementing my vision than his own which was important to us. They completed the work in a timely fashion and came in right at budget. It has been over 3 months and our new sod still looks great. I'd highly recommend SHM to my friends and neighbors.

I knew exactly what I wanted and they really listened to me. There were no surprises, substitutes, or ego when they drew up and installed the design. Their installer was super nice; the crew worked in the rain to finish the job on time and moved my trampoline without me having to ask. I would definitely hire them again.

I hired SHM Landscape for a hard scape project as well as some field stone foundation wall repair. We went through several options before settling on one within my budget. Throughout the design and installation, Ryan stayed in touch with me and listened to my concerns. SHM turned a plain concrete stoop and slate chip walkway into a beautiful and inviting entrance to my home. An added benefit was a river rock lined mulch path that looks natural and so inviting. He also worked to correct a ponding situation at the edge of the walkway. These guys are a joy to work with and very reasonable as to cost.

SHM did a great job to enhance our backyard after our pool was installed. This job was considered a fairly big project, from regrading over irrigation to planting. Seeing the transformation before and after was amazing. We have been very pleased with the communication during the project, quality of work, execution and time frame. We highly recommend SHM, it was a pleasure to work with them.

SHM Landscape designed and built the most amazing back deck and patio area for us several months ago! We absolutely love it and feel it is the perfect extension of our home. We went to multiple landscaping companies for estimates and decided to take a chance on the smaller company which is SHM Landscape. In a nutshell, there is/was NO disappointment whatsoever. The professionalism and attention to detail surpassed our expectations and they kept us in the loop in regards to the day to day operations on our yard. The sod they laid down as well as the drain pipes look perfect and they followed up with us after everything was done with tips and advice on maintenance. SHM Landscape did just an amazing transformation to our backyard. The final outcome was everything that we wanted and more. SHM took the time to discuss and have multiple meeting for us to feel comfortable, on the final layout/design of the backyard. They were able to stay on budget as well as work within the 3 week time frame. The project was handled from Start to Finish by the project manager without any issues or complications. They were very professional and made sure to clean up the street and work area, daily. The final outcome has produced multiple neighbors to inquire about the company and their work. SHM Landscape has now twice done an excellent job getting my yard back into respectable condition, once with a complete overhaul after a renter neglected to care for the lawn and again re-landscaping an area that had been damaged. I will continue to use SHM Landscape for all of my major landscaping projects!

We hired SHM landscape to fix a drainage and erosion issue in our backyard. They were great to work with!
