Solid Kitchen & Bath

I had my bathroom remodeled and Solid Kitchen and Bath did a fantastic job. Sirin spent a significant amount of time with me before a contract was ever signed, helping me select materials to best fit my needs. During the project, she was on site at least once a day and usually two or three times so she always knew what was going on and could quickly let me know if any issues had arisen or they needed my input on something. I only have one bathroom so it was a significant amount of time that I was not able to use it - that is something you'd want to discuss early on so you know what arrangements you have to make. SKB has a small team and they do excellent work. The tile work, especially, is really impressive with the attention to detail and the way he cut things to make everything line up. When I was selecting a company to do the work, I got three estimates. The other two were slightly less but for less work - they didn't include allowances for materials and they also took the approach that if something came up after demolition the cost may increase. Solid Kitchen and Bath gave the most complete estimate and it included whatever may arise. The estimate is only good for a certain amount of time and that was not clear at the start so you'd want to ask about that. It took me a long time to decide on tiles so the estimate went up but not by a lot. At the time of the final payment, it actually came out to be slightly less than the final estimate due to certain changes that ended up saving money during the project. SKB was the only company to provide me with references without me asking - not cherry-picked people, but a three-page list of former clients. I contacted three of them and they all recommended SKB. I am now another satisfied customer and would use them again.

I spoke w three companies to do my bathroom remodel and the moment I met Sirin of Solid Kitchen & Bath, I knew she was the person for the job. She is very knowledgeable about construction and a smart problem solver. Although my bathroom is larger than many in OTALX - it was still a challenge to accomplish all of my objectives and Sirin was the one who gave me confidence we could do it. She will not start a project until all decisions are made and materials are procured. This way when her team starts - they have everything they need and the project stays in motion. I have built two houses and have done renovations to two other houses, and I have to say that my experience with Sirin at Solid Kitchen & Bath was outstanding. Sirin was on top of every aspect of the project. From design, throughout the renovation project, to the final walk through, Sirin was there and made sure everything was absolutely perfect. From working with the condominium association or getting the City of Alexandria permits, Sirin handled everything. She helped me pick out the lighting fixtures, ordering everything, and having everything done and installed absolutely perfectly, Sirin was there. We used Solid Kitchen & Bath for the renovation of our two full baths in our Old Town condo. This is the second time we have used Solid, Sirin did our kitchen in 2022. We were so impressed, and many friends and family have commented on how good our kitchen looks, that we decided our 1990's style bathrooms needed a similar upgrade. We couldn't be more pleased. I appreciate how Sirin takes the time to meet with you and understand your needs and wants for a renovation; she pays careful attention to detail and remarkably, we had similar visions for our bathrooms. Once everything was decided in terms of cabinets, fixtures, flooring, tiles, Sirin gathers all the supplies and then commences the work. That's one great feature about using her, she won't start the project until she has the labor and supplies lined up. This makes for a very predictable and timely completion of the project. While there always bumps in the process, Sirin communicates effectively on scheduling and changes. With her office in Old Town, it makes it convenient to meet in the showroom to discuss the plans; but also ensures that Sirin will be stopping by your property to check in on progress and report out accordingly. We valued her daily presence on property to ensure that the work is completed to our satisfaction. With our bathroom remodeling, I don't think we have anything else for Solid Kitchen & Bath to work on in our home, but I wouldn't hesitate to use them again should circumstances warrant.
