Choosing the right contractor is never easy, but hiring Steve and the N2 Design team was one of the best decisions we made as homeowners. We hired them for a large-scale renovation of our West Seattle home, a 700+ sq ft deck addition, exterior facelift, basement bedroom upgrade, and much more; they exceeded our expectations at every turn. Every detail was accounted for, all work was up to code, and our structural engineer even noted that the precision Steve's team brought is rarely seen on residential projects. I also want to highlight a situation that really exemplifies Steve's expertise and foresight. While adding a window to the basement bedroom, Steve identified that adding excavation and concrete retaining wall work to the scope would save us significant time and money down the road if addressed now. He took the time to clearly explain the reasoning, walked us through our options, and presented honest tradeoffs so we could make an informed decision. While it did extend the timeline and increase the overall cost, it was ultimately the right call, and we're glad Steve had the knowledge and integrity to bring it to our attention rather than simply complete the original scope and move on. Communication was seamless throughout the entire project. Steve keeps you informed every step of the way with regular status updates, transparent cost breakdowns, and honest conversations about any changes to scope or budget. What stood out was his ability to really listen during those conversations. Steve asked thoughtful questions, took our constraints seriously, and never made us feel like changes were an inconvenience. He also worked effortlessly alongside our architect and structural engineer, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Steve and his crew helped us complete a huge deck remodel this spring (650sq ft). He was very realistic with the quote and had a great eye for aesthetic and functional design. The project took longer than planned due to finding more rotted framing than anticipated, but all the rotted through boards got replaced and we now have a gorgeous, safe deck to enjoy. He was excellent at keeping us updated throughout with his findings and recommendations, and he offered multiple options along the way. Highly recommend N2!

Anderson constructed three sets of custom bi-fold doors for closets in my condo. in Seattle. The Anderson team executed the project perfectly. They were very professional, timely, and precise in their execution. Well done.

We met with Steve Nagel (Project Manager) Stephan Collier (Architect) and Ross Anderson (Architect) to give them an idea of what our needs were. We primarily worked in tandem with Steve Nagel for our job. His crew was professional, courteous, and after each day of work, cleaned up after themselves so that my wife and I could still use the primary functions in our house. The agreement duration of our remodel was for 60 days. We are happy to report that they completed the job in the time frame that was agreed upon. Each week we were given a spreadsheet of our expenses so that we could stay within our budget. It was a joy to watch the transformation of our project from paper to reality. I hired Anderson Design and Construction to do a full bathroom remodel that also involved moving an internal wall to expand the size of the bathroom. I had already hired a designer to do the plans and made my tile selections ahead of time. I purchased a pre-fabricated vanity from Wayfair.com for them to install. I was extremely happy with my full experience with Anderson Design and Construction. I truly appreciated their overall professionalism, ongoing status communications and bringing my attention to key decisions along the way. They were extremely focused on my satisfaction throughout the entire process. I did need to make some small changes along the way and they accommodated them and the additional costs beyond the original quote were less than 2%. I appreciated the speed of the work performed. I often came home to see big progress everyday. My job was quoted at being complete in about 45 days. The majority of it was complete within this time and I had a functioning bathroom within this timeframe which was great. We just had to wait for the shower glass to be manufactured (which can't be measured/ordered until tile work is done). Everything was complete including my requested changes in just over 60 days. They also did a good job of keeping the worksite clean so I could still use the rest of my house with minimal disruption.
