My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Penny Black Interiors was a pleasure to work with. Our initial plans were great, but after bringing them on they challenged us creatively and opened our eyes to much more than we had anticipated. Projects like this can be bumpy at times, but with clear and consistent communication from PBI it was almost seamless. And the outcome is more than we had dreamed of.

From initial project formulation to concept ideas and realisation we have much enjoyed working with PennyBlack Interiors (PBI) for their distinctive ideas, passionate collaborative process and detailed follow thru of the remodelling of our 1951 ranch house in the hills of SW Portland. While we changed little of the floorplan, PBI substantially upgraded and contemporized the interior as well as changed the connection of the house with its deck. While regularly checking progress with us and following thru with the contractor, the end result is very much to our liking.

The team at Penny Black is insanely talented. They took a simple sitting area and elevated it to a functional, fabulous, design statement that we now use everyday.. I loved the whole process from ideation, concept review and execution. Stewart was hands on the entire time insuring that everything was completed perfectly and to his high standards. I love every inch of the space and would work with them again in a heartbeat (and actually am now) ... redesigning our fireplace walls. The ideas already have blown me away. I highly recommend Stewart and his team.
