Studio ~M~ Design & Interior Architecture

My wife and I are extremely pleased with our remodeling project at our newly acquired condominium at the Kaanapali Alii in Maui. Mhel served as our designer and project coordinator. She worked very closely with our contractor and the management of the Kaanapali Alii. The project was managed entirely without our direct involvement. My wife and I were on the mainland. Mhel and our contractor corresponded via email and exchanged photos during the entire project. The project itself was a complete remodel of our condominium. The ~ $400,000 project included new appliances, lighting, cabinets, counter tops, floors, furniture, plumbing, architectural accents and artwork. We were very pleased with the end product. Mhel and the entire team did an excellent job keeping us informed. My wife and Mhel met during the planning stages of the project and selected materials, plumbing, granite, flooring and other key elements of the project. Mhel drove the project management from then on. It is important to mention the Alii has very restrictive rules relating to the type of work, hours of work and days on which work can be performed. This is due to the Alii being a top resort property that is rightfully focused on maintaining the highest standards of enjoyment for their guests. Mhel worked with the Alii management and our contractor to keep the project on track and work within the Alii guidelines. My wife and I highly recommend Mhel @ DesignLine Studio. We would absolutely use her again for any size project small to large.

We have worked with Mehl on several projects including projects at the Kaanapali Ali'i. Mehl is professional, very knowledgeable and has great ideas! Mhel was great to work with and played a key role in redecorating our condo in less than two weeks. Attempting to do this on our own, without a local professional, would have surely led to failure. But Mhel knew exactly where to shop and had pre-selected key options for us which saved us a ton of time. She has great taste and the final product is better than we could have imagined.

Mhel with Studio M is very professional and always works on time and with integrity. I have referred several clients to her and they have all been more than pleased with her taste level and ability to source everything from painting and redecorating to getting pieces of difficult to find furniture. Mhel is an outstanding designer. We built a new house, and she designed the interior details of the kitchen, bathrooms, electrical…everything. She was on the job site often and really felt personally responsible for the house turning out to be beautiful. She listened to our wishes, and when it came to furniture decisions, tile, colors, etc., she advised us, listened to our thoughts, and came up with excellent products and suggestions. She is a wonderful designer of furniture and cabinetry and tile layouts. I wish she could be nearby forever to advise us! She is capable of the construction phases as well as the finishing touches. She does excellent work, and she is someone who is a joy to have on your side!

It was a great experience to work with Mhel, Studio M Design. The scope of my design project included fabrics and needed upholstery for dining chairs, occasional chairs and to update bed linens and pillows. The project involved our communicating long distance with limited access to my vacation rental residence. Mhel always responded quickly to my emails and phone messages sharing fabric samples by mail along with scheduling visits to the residence for measuring and deliveries. She is a talented professional designer. I look forward to future projects with Mhel and the good feeling of having gained a friend along the way.

We hired Mhel in 2015 at the recommendation of another professional in MAUI to assist us with the new home we were building. I had attempted to do furnishings from decorators on the mainland with poor success and was delighted to receive a recommendation for Mhel. She assisted in many design decisions, tile layout, paint colors, light selections for both inside and out along with window treatments, bed dressings, area rugs and furniture. She coordinated all the shipping and delivery without issue and in a timely manner as not to delay our project. Mhel had so many resources we were able to find everything we wanted and stay within budget. She was assertive when she needed to be but very easy & comfortable to work with. We would definitely use Mhel again and recommend her as building in MAUI isn't easy and without her assistance we would not have our beautiful home.

I used Mhel to do a complete renovation of our Alii unit without even meeting her. She keep in contact sent photo's, boards of materials, lined up contactors and in the end did an outstanding job. I went to Maui for 5 days for the completion and was very pleased with the job, I also recommend her to another owner and she also used her, without a doubt she is very good.
