I had a really great experience working with Summitt Construction recently and felt compelled to put in a review. They were recommended to me from a friend who had recently used them, but was concerned that their price point would be higher than the other bids I had received to renovate two bathrooms in our near 100 yr old East Austin home. I was pleasantly surprised to see that their bid, which was significantly more detailed than others, came in at about the same price point. I am so glad we chose Summit to do this work. First off, their demo was extremely organized and quick. They def had their work cut out as there was no subfloor and the existing shiplap was rotten. Even though the work scope increased, our price stayed nearly the same and if there were any overages these were discussed in detail before the work began. Summit uses only the best subcontractors. The tile guys were 100% as well as painters, plumbers and general construction guys. The workers were clean and never left much of a mess at the end of the day. The work took 6 weeks which was very quick considering the crazy nature of our old house. One of the biggest complaints people seem to have with this kind of work is a lack of communication. I can say with no question or doubt that the communication with this construction company was excellent from the get-go. They had a leader, Steve, assigned solely to my home. This made communication very streamlined - any question I had went through him and was promptly addressed. He was here at the house a ton organizing all the contractors and keeping me up to date daily on what was happening and what work would get done that day. We had an excellent time working with this company and the craftsmanship in the bathrooms is exactly what we wanted. We would not think twice about using them again for our next home project. I would 100% recommend this company for ur next renovation.
