Sunspace Sunrooms

We just had a sunroom put up by SOLARIUM PLUS out of Alfred Ont. and this team of workers did a fantastic job and took pride in their workmanship. It is a product of SUNSPACE, it looks very good and went together very well. I suppose a lot depends on the team that put it together but at this point I am very happy with the product. The project was 400 sq feet including a 30x10 sunroom with a 40 ft covered deck and some railings. Congrats to the team.

Reliable. Prompt. Communicative. I honestly couldn't find the slightest fault with these fellas if I tried. This is their 3rd day in a row onsite. They arrive (from over an hour's drive away) by 8:00am each day and have worked solidly Day 1 & 2 until 5pm. Day 3, because rain is expected the next day, they are ensuring they are at a point where there won't be any issues due to rain, so they are still here, and it's past 6:00pm. These fellas are tidy workers, and they seem to truly enjoy and take pride in their work. An absolute pleasure to deal with in every way. Thank you Levi and team at Sharpe Construction/Sunspace for putting out quality workmanship and a quality product (2 x sunrooms)!

The new windows would not stay closed, as they were too loose in the frame provided by Sunspace. Morgan Exteriors recommended a fix, but that did not work, and then they told us that we would have to remove the windows and reinstall them with shims to squeeze the frame of the Sunscape windows. This would have been a great deal of work, and is just a work around to squeeze the Sunspace frame that was manufactured too large. When I pointed this out, Morgan did not reply. Fortunately we know a talented carpenter, that modified the design of the Sunspace windows so they stay in position without a complete reinstall, but we did incur additional costs and delays.

I found Sunspace sunrooms to be cold in winter (pipes freezing) and extremely hot in summer. I have to use a room air conditioner, a large mini split, two floor fans and a ceiling fan to keep it cool (77 degrees, outside 91 degrees) all going full blast. The windows fall down all the time...not helping the issue. I had the deck floor replaced with solid flooring to help keep the room cool or hot This winter I wrapped the outside in thick plastic. I ran the mini split all the time. I added infrared heaters close to where I was working. I have had the entire deck caulked, added thick curtains on the east side where the sun hits. I am going to tear it out and replace it with double pane glass with screens. I feel like I got taken. I don't see any other complaints so I must be the only one having this issue.

We signed our proposal in June, 2022. The company does not contact us unless it’s time for another installment of our payment. We have tried to get updates about the date our project will be started, but we have been put off month after month. We have met two people from the company, one has since left the company. Yesterday, we were contacted by a very rude salesman we have not dealt with at all. We regret the trust we put in this business and we cannot recommend it.

After seeing my brothers finished sunroom, I knew who I was calling for my project.....Sunspace. I love my new windows surrounding my back deck. They are easy to open, close and remove individually when time to clean. You can close on one side of porch when rain is coming, while leaving other side open, depending on which direction of rain. My workers were Donnie and Andrew and cant say enough about their expertise in knowing their trade. Super nice men, didnt eve take breaks, while working in 90 degree weather that week. We went to the home show looking for ideas to add a deck to a new garden door that we installed last year. Happened onto Art's Relaxed Living booth and were sold on the sunroom and the no pressure knowledgeable help we received. Art showed up at our home and gave us some ideas about what a sunroom would look like. With confidence we placed the order for the sunroom. What we really liked was that with the windows open we have views to our acreage with no glass in the way. Art let us build our own deck and we also shingled the roof to save on some installation costs. Using the expert installation of his crew, our sunroom was installed in 3 days. Kyle and his coworker were polite, left the site spotless and made sure we knew exactly what was going on. When we were doing a final check there was no issues with getting things done exactly the way we wanted it. The room looks unbelievable. The screens feel like there is nothing between you and the outside. The sunroom matchs our house and by adding the shingles, it looks like an addition to the house and not an add on. I highly recommend Relaxed Living and with the sunroom we get to enjoy the outdoors from the inside. Art and his team are exception to deal with. Sherwood Park, Canada

American Deck and Patio has used the Weathermaster vinyl four track windows on several screen room projects. The window has a high quality vinyl frame with aluminum window frames. We typically use the clear vinyl glazing and the Tuff Screen full screen. The key to this system over the competition is that the windows themselves fit into the tracks as opposed to other systems that have plastic tabs that fit in the tracks. Those tabs tend to break in high wind and the window is worthless. The Sunspace system also locks in better at the top to make it easy keep the top window in place and operate the other windows. They have vertical and horizontal orientations and can mull several windows together for a more open look with less large structural posts between windows. I would recommend these windows for a screen porch make the room more usable in the colder months, or in windy or wet conditions. I am building my own house this year and plan to install them in my porch. I am installing a 24" knee wall and (2) Napoleon gas powered infrared heaters on the headers.
