Budget Blinds of Crown Point, Frankfort, & Chicago

The blinds themselves are standard - what you'd expect with no frills, nothing more, nothing less. The customer service, however is AWFUL. Starting with the install, it was a nightmare to schedule as there were cancellations and re-schedulings galore. When I ordered the blinds, I was promised 4 weeks and it took somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks. Then we had an issue with the blinds and it took forever to get someone out to look at them and part of his solution was informing us that 'sometimes that's just the way it is'. But what takes the cake is when we tried to schedule our de-install. I did this 2 months' in advance because I wanted to ensure that this happened before we moved out of our property. I received a call 3 days before the scheduled appointment and was told that 'no installers were available' (despite me being assured several times that the appointment was scheduled months ago) and that I would have to be re-scheduled on a later date. I told them it was not possible because we would no longer be in the property and later Laurie called me back and said they would come a day earlier to the initial date. We re-arranged our schedule and made appropriate preparations. When the morning of the de-install came I received a call literally 5 minutes before the installer was due to come informing me that he would no longer be coming, and I would be re-scheduled at the originally-offered later date. I explained yet again that this is not possible. Susan, the owner, did not apologize once nor make any effort to accommodate me or find a decent solution. She just kept repeating 'there's nothing I can do', claiming she only has 2 installers total. She never even offered to give me a refund for the de-install fee that I paid up front, and I had to bring it up. Her affect was completely flat, non-helpful, and certainly not hospitable in the least. In conclusion: middle-of-the-line products, AWFUL customer service, AWFUL management and scheduling. Buyer beware. If the owner Susan is so far left from helpful, what can we expect from any of the rest of the staff.

The quality of the roman shades and the wood blinds is excellent. Susan and her team are dedicated to customer satisfaction. She even worked with our painter to match the fabric of the shades to accent paint for our home.

Every step of working with this company was a pleasure--setting up the appointment was easy, and working with Ms Gomez was great! She had lots of great suggestions and we were able to finalize treatments for 4 sets of windows within a couple of hours. The installation was also smooth and professional. I will definitely be calling Budget Blinds the next time I'm in the market for window treatments!

Ordered blinds and pleated shades. I also had a top treatment made for my patio doors. The rep came to my home and gave me on the spot pricing on the window treatments. I placed my order and they installed my selections within a month. The installation was perfect and I am extremely pleased with my window treatments. Very professional every step of the way.
