I have worked with Tom Nahabedian at Bureau-AD many times over the last several year on both residential and commercial projects. He is always willing to add insight, support and excellent knowledge to our projects. His responsiveness and attitude are highly regarded. We bought a new, single-family home in Chicago that was never lived in but needed both structural repairs and aesthetic changes to meet our needs. It had 4 floors, each resembling a bowling alley. Bureau of Architecture and Design reworked the entire foot print with high end finishes, attention to detail and working spaces to the maximum aesthetic and need without compromising the flow and quality of light in the home. They replaced the original simple staircase with an open one made of solid Brazilian cherry featuring an innovative handrail design that is contemporary yet warm. It is a one of a kind architectural piece. Rooms partially enclosed by glass, niches for antique art and the use of stone, quartz, granite and marble as a running theme are other striking features. Bureau was rehired for Phases 2 & 3 which involved customized roof decks with features such as a retractable awning on an aluminum trellis and modern detailing of Ipe wood decking, benches and planters.

Bureau of Architecture is one of the best boutique Architects Firms in the City of Chicago and that's saying a lot. We have worked closely with them on custom home remodels and transposed ordinary homes into works or Art! They are a full service Architecture firm with a vast knowledge of design and creativity.
