We had an extensive remodel done on our house by Tom and could not have been happier with the end result. Most of the work was done while we were out of town and we had complete trust in him and his subcontractors. He gave us a time line and stuck with it. He was always very honest about what he thought of our choices for the house and he himself was great at helping us on design for the house. He and his crew did such a great job that when it came time to do the walk thru at the end it was really hard for us to find anything that needed fixed or needed more attention. If you are looking for someone who is completely trustworthy and the ultimate professional in all he does then he is your man. There was never a time that he would not return calls and we received an update and pictures on a daily basis. We could not have been more pleased that Tom remodeled our house and would recommended him to any person looking for an honest and knowledgeable contractor

The company built a 276 square foot addition on our 40 year old home that was done so well done that most people would not be able to tell that it wasn't all the original construction.

On the recommendation of neighbors we used TC Contracting for a facelift (interior repainting and recarpeting) and a kitchen remodel for our home in Tucson. We could not have been happier with our choice of contractors. Tom skillfully helped us select materials, was extremely knowledgeable and professional, attentive to detail and kept the job site spotless. When we were out of town for a portion of the project Tom was in constant communication. It was a real pleasure working with Tom and we consider him to be the best contractor we have ever employed.

My wife and I have used TC Contracting on several occasions -- with jobs ranging from small (and not very costly adjustments in our weird house in Portland) to major things like rebuilding our deck, replacing doors and windows, etc. We would not hesitate to have him do anything we needed. Perhaps the most amazing thing about Tom's process, though, is his tendency to always be where he says he will be ON TIME -- a rarity, in our opinion, in the remodeling world. When he gives you an estimate, or says he'll be there at such-and-such a time, you can believe it. He's very creative and talented, but also able to be there on time. We used him numerous times.

My husband and I worked as fabricators for Tom on many projects for the last 10 years in Portland, Oregon. (Building things like casework, small cabinetry, modifying the occasional antique furniture piece, some refinishing, a little tile work, etc.) Tom’s the consummate professional, an excellent leader, and an expert at what he does. He’s great at designing modifications for historic houses while preserving their character.

I had damage to the eave of my house caused by age, rain, and an industrious squirrel. Tom Chartrand repaired the damage, fixed it so as to be squirrel-proof, and located a source of a leak that had confounded other professionals. He also supervised the painting of the exterior of the house. There have been no subsequent problems. I felt confident that the work was good, and that Mr. Chartrand was treating me fairly. The work was completed as promised, and the area was left clean and tidy. I only wish he hadn't moved to AZ!

Tom does the job right the first time, on time and without any surprise cost overruns. I have worked with him on several projects and am always very pleased with the results. He takes pride in his work and as a homeowner, I appreciate that work ethic. This guy is solid gold.

TC Contracting is by far the best home repair & remodeling company I have ever worked with. The principal contractor, Tom Chartrand, is both smart and meticulous. He is up-to-date on all the latest materials as well as on the local code requirements. He is not satisfied with half-way measures, and if something isn't quite right, he'll work on it until it is right. He shows up when he says he will, completes work on time, and cleans up carefully. What's more, he's a pleasant fellow to have around. [Although this form only allows for details of one project, I have hired TC Contracting multiple times over the past fifteen years.]

He remodeled our master bathroom, doing all phases of the work and communicating with us every step of the way! I have seen examples of outdoor decking and complete home renovations that he has done over the years. His knowledge of products, his skilled workmanship and years of experience make him invaluable!
