Tom Kaster Construction

Tom did two projects for us. One was a major remodel with the addition of a basement under our cabin. We had him back to do some additional work and updates. The end product was better than we had imagined. His workmanship is excellent. He also had an attention to detail that helped retain the character we loved while modernizing our cabin. We couldn't be more pleased.

Tom met with us numerous times during the design and planning stages of our home on Chute Pond, and was very cooperative and helpful in very way. He helped us customize a basic design into a perfect floor plan for our retirement home. Tom, Jason, and their crew and subcontractors did a great job taking that blueprint from a piece of paper and transforming it into a home that we're thrilled with in every way. Customer satisfaction has always been their goal, and they have met their goal in our eyes. Thank you!

Tom Kaster did a great job building our home on Archibald Lake. Tom was there for us starting with our variance meeting. We did a complete tear down and rebuild. Tom is great to work with throughout the whole process and came up with a great design on our small lot. He has a great team to work with and we had them back in August 2016 to finish our rec room. We love our new home and highly recommend Tom Kaster Construction.

My family looked for ways to update our old lake cabin for over two years but ran into constant problems with zoning, setbacks and construction concerns. We had a small lot which created many other restrictions. Then we talked to Tom Kaster Construction. With Tom’s broad knowledge of not only construction, but the legal issues associated with building in today’s environment, we soon had a working plan that lead to a new lake home that met all of our requirements and that the entire family is thrilled with. Tom takes ownership in his projects. He was not content to just build a box, but would call from time to time with suggestions that once we thought about it, our reaction was “well, of course that is how it should be.” His suggestions for windows, trim, stain colors and flooring perfectly fit the theme of the new home. We asked that some existing cabinets be reused and were amazed how he reworked them to fit the new kitchen and made them look like new. We expressed some concern over the steps to the back deck which was one of the last items to be completed. When we returned a week later, we were greeted with a new wide step layout that screamed “welcome to our house.” The house is so well constructed and insulated, the utility bills both in the Summer and Winter are substantially less than I thought they would be. The project was done on time, allowing us to take occupancy before Memorial Day Weekend. I highly recommend Tom Kaster Construction both as a company and as a person. Tom and his crew are not only competent and capable, but honest and friendly people that I now consider my friends. Top picture is after, bottom picture is before.

Installed siding and insulation to our cement block cottage. His crew identified and fixed several other issues created by another contractor. To be more exact they installed insulation around Windows and fixed a door that did seem to have been installed properly. They also removed an old chimney that was in bad shape. The place looks much nicer now and we can tell that we have the insulation. I would be remiss if I did not mention that they helped me remove an old tall metal TV antenna. When they finished they cleaned up the grounds and it looked immaculate

Our home was finished exactly when expected with no delays or problems. Tom suggested changes during rough-in that turned out great. All work done was quality craftsmanship at a reasonable cost

I have had Tom Kaster build and/or remodel a number of my properties at my up north residences around Mountain, WI. I originally worked with Tom Kaster back in 2005 to build us a beautiful lake home, and since that time he has built an additional garage and has done some remolding jobs on other outbuildings for me. The Kaster Team does high quality work at a fair price, but more importantly they are honest and trustworthy. I fully trust The Kaster Team for all my building needs, they are dependable and excellent to work with. They have always exceeded my expectation on projects and came in at budget. Tom does a great job on keeping you updated on project and communicates unexpected cost issues, always working with you on the most cost effective solutions. The Kaster Team has not only done all my building / remodeling work, but also other family members and friends, always doing a great job. Family and friends have always been very happy that I recommended them. He is the only builder I would deal with on building and remodeling projects. I view the Kaster Team as premier high quality builder and one of the best in the area. I would highly recommend them for your building and / or remodeling needs. You will certainly be satisfied with their professionalism and workmanship.

I hired Tom to build a new house in northern Oconto County for me. He provided excellent service through out the process from planning, demolition, construction and control of sub-contractors. His estimate of both time needed to build and cost of project was very accurate. He provided good quality control of sub-contractors, ensuring they provided the proper materials and workmanship. He was also cognizant of the desire to keep several trees and not damage sensitive areas on the property near the build site. His crew was very professional as well. If I have any building needs in the future, I will choose Tom without question.

Tom and his team have done amazing work for us. He resided our home and shed with hand-hewn log siding and built a large wraparound porch with log railing. He built a screened in porch below the deck. He also built our 48x36 log sided garage with an upper loft. Beautiful craftsmanship. Tom is very kind and a pleasure to work with. He asks all the right questions to ensure he delivers on customer expectations. We highly recommend him.

Tom worked on a design for my wife and me and we were very impressed with his design skill. His resume is impeccable. Unfortunately, because of time constraints and no fault of Tom's, we went with another builder. We are certain Tom would have done a great job for us. We will definitely reconnect with Tom if we build again and highly recommend him.
