I've had the pleasure of working with Willem Stear of Tonic Design Studio over the last year. He is a true professional and also lovely to work with. We have a large showroom and he is so great about focusing on what he wants, coming up with amazing product and material combinations, and getting things done. I always love it when he walks in the door.

People think we are joking when we say that Tonic Design Studio gets the award for "Best Prepared Designer EVER," but it is actually true! This firm worked in tandem with an architect on a large house and had the complete, extremely custom interiors designed, specified and detailed - over two years BEFORE ground was ever broken on the project. Who does this? Really does this? Principal interior designer Willem Stear is brilliantly focused, detailed and exacting in all aspects of his work - which is quite stunning in its own right. His South African background and education bring a fresh and welcome spin on "modern style" to Atlanta. Willem's knowledge of modern architecture, furniture, interiors and theory is an innate love and not merely decorative. He considers function, movement and space before the first finish or piece of furniture is selected. He takes the time to understand how his clients wish to live, takes these ideas, expounds upon them, often educating in the process and quite literally broadens their horizons. Much like a set designer who researches and conjures up perfect spaces for specific characters, Tonic Design able to do this in "real life." This is a design firm that melds a love and understanding of modern into timeless, functional and handsome interiors.

Willem was a terrific asset in helping us design and implement our master bath. He has great vision, helped us with colors, materials, design, and overall flow. He is very detail oriented. Plus, he is a kind, respectful man who follows up with all our questions and concerns. We highly recommend him!!

Willem at Tonic Design Studio designed the decor for our master suite, downstairs powder room as well as our living and dining rooms. Throughout the process, he was utterly professional and in addition to his design work, he managed all the installations and deliveries. All we had to do was marvel at the outcome! For our living and dining rooms, Willem involved me in the design of custom carpets that he created for the spaces. That space went from a stark empty room to a classic vibrant space. We worked with a number of contractors in the remodel of our home and Willem was by far the most reliable and professional - staying on schedule and within the agreed budget. It was delightful to work with such a creative and professional person and we HIGHLY recommend Willem and Tonic Design Studio.

Willem and his team were top notch. I couldn't have asked for a better result. Each and every time I had a question or needed anything they were right there. This was the first time I've hired a designer and it will certainly be the last. Thanks so much Willem.
