This is the first anniversary of moving into our Troy Spurlin Interiors designed condo. To say that we have been overjoyed with the work that Troy and his business partner Alex Gebicke did is an understatement. Right from the beginning of the project we knew we were in good hands. Initially we had planned to use the 1350 square foot, two bedroom one and a half bath apartment in a classic 100 -year-old building in Jacksonville, Florida as a place to stay when we visited our daughter and her family. We contracted with Troy to renovate and furnish the apartment for this purpose. This work eventually turned into creating a forever home for us when we decided to sell our primary residence and downsize into the condo. Using many of our pieces of furniture and artwork Troy and Alex quickly adapted to the new project scope and worked their magic so we were able to move in shortly after we sold our house. To accomplish this in the environment of Covid-related supply chain delays and a scarcity of trades people was nothing short of a miracle. When we had our first meeting with Troy and Alex they asked about our vision for the condo. Our first thought was of Paris apartments we had seen on our travels. We gave them a few idea pictures and off they went. The next time we met they presented picture boards of room designs and furnishings, fabric and wallpaper samples and a boatload of enthusiasm. Incorporating our treasured possessions in fresh and creative ways, they had managed to capture our dream apartment. Since we were out of town, Spurlin Interiors managed the entire renovation process. Working in a hundred -year-old building with limited elevator, unloading space and parking was a huge challenge but all their tradespeople were incredibly professional, reliable, and considerate of the building, the other residents and each other. Every time we interacted with any of them, they had nothing but praise for Troy and Alex, which in our experience is unique and emblematic of the reputation and respect Troy Spurlin Interiors enjoys in Jacksonville and beyond. Our own experience mirrored that. Any idea we had was immediately responded to and any issue immediately addressed. Every part of the project was well organized, and the financial arrangements detailed and transparent. We were in regular communication with their delightful comptroller Michele. Troy and Alex are not only the most creative interior designers, but they are also the nicest. It was obvious from our first meeting with them they love their work as evidenced in their designs and the close relationships they form with their clients. There isn’t a day that goes by that my husband and I don’t comment on how beautiful our home is and how appreciative we are to have found Troy Spurlin Interiors.

When I moved from a typical grand old 2-story beach home to a 2 bedroom, 2 bath loft type and traditional apartment, I needed an interior Designer capable of blending my cherished items into the new open space and flow of one room into another. I found the perfect talent, personality and ability to coordinate the entire move in Troy Spurlin Interiors. Troy and his team worked within the restrictions of an apartment residence. From flooring to lighting to wall papering to upholstery, Troy designed a look of calm and beauty above and beyond my expectations. There was no task they could not handle, including creating a custom wall system in the master bedroom, selection of additional furnishings where need, as well as coordinating accessories. Troy Spurlin and his team of professionals, Alex, Candace and Corey are efficient and business-like, yet have a cheerful/fun like approach to the project. It was a thoroughly delightful experience, and although the job was completed over a year ago, I feel I can still call upon their expertise for assistance and receive the same expert consideration and friendship.

The team at Troy Spurlin Interiors actually made our extensive remodeling (converting from a duplex into a single home) an enjoyable experience. They were onsite every day and worked with the contractor and sub-contractors to insure that the design plan was properly implemented. Mr. Spurlin would personally meet with the contractor when we were told “it can’t be done” and devise a way to make it work. Our home turned out even more beautiful than we had hoped and it is 100% due to having the team of Troy Spurlin Interiors working for us.
