About two years ago we trusted Tamas with our new home and let him fly with his brilliant imagination and creat a new and complete custom one bedroom apartment for us. He designed everything from the moldings, bed, head board, kitchen cabinets, entertainment center, coffee table, dresser, walk-in closet and even the floors around the apartment. Tamas and the people at ANT Contracting were great. We hired them for a full apartment renovation (kitchen, bath, living space). Tamas put the highest priority on quality from the very start and it was evident in the final product as he brought our ideas and designs to life (without the help of a designer). He was very easy to work with, always available on his cell (there were several instances when we spoke before 7am or after 9pm), and always willing to accommodate our requests, such as adding a custom bench in the breakfast nook or adding a shelf in the shower. He also provided helpful advice along the way and was very communicative throughout the entire process, always calling or texting us when issues arose. In the few cases where something didn't turn out according to our expectations, he was willing to do the extra work to make it perfect. Our favorite parts of the renovation were the kitchen cabinets and custom bench. We would definitely recommend him and have already hired him again for another project.

Ant Construction created a wonderful 12 foot storage built in caninet in our bedroom. They were professional and design savvy with high skill sets. The finished piece is complicated in design and sleekly finished. The team was extremely neat and experienced. They make furniture as well. I would hire them again.

ANT Contracting has completed two major projects for us, one in 2003 and another in 2011. Complete re-do of bathrooms, kitchen and closets, wall extensions, new ceiling and baseboard molding throughout, skim coating on all walls, replacement of all doors with hard core wood, major electrical, and major plumbing which included installation of all new appliances. Job included built in cabinetry in living room, dining room and office. Highly professional, reliable, responsive and flexible. Extreme attention to detail. Measurements all perfect, finishes beautiful. All deadlines and scope of work adhered to. Only good surprises, which were the beautiful results throughout.

I am just completing an apartment renovation with Tamas Tizold of ANT Contracting. You will not meet a more extraordinary contractor and exemplary professional. He and his team are extremely skilled, efficient, neat, and a joy to work with. Tamas himself is so experienced that he was able to help with numerous design issues and the typical new york apartment "surprises" that arose during our renovation. He was patient and alway available to answer questions which was priceless for someone renovating for the first time. The finished apartment looks stellar and i could not be more pleased. Tamas is capable, intelligent, skilled, hardworking and a genuinely honest and caring individual. I would not hesitate to use him again for another project.

As a first time co-op buyer, who wanted to completely gut a large one bedroom apartment (kitchen, bathroom, cabinetry, closets, doors, walls and floor) while paying rent on an apartment before moving in, I needed to find a contractor quickly. I needed a contractor who would be able to help me through the co-op process, help with all the decisions the renovation required in the order they needed to be made, and to be patient with the difficulty I had in making all these decisions, all that and one who would do beautiful work in the time frame agreed upon. It was a very tall order but through a few excellent recommendations from people in the building Tamas Tiszold , ANT Contracting Inc, did all that! Tamas takes great pride in the work he and his team do and was very happy when I was happy with the results. My apartment is gorgeous, the work meticulous. The wood floor, custom cabinetry in the kitchen, bathroom, under window units, the closets designed to fit my needs, the style of the doors, moldings, smooth new walls, and everything done as I wanted it. It did take one week longer than promised for me to move in, but within the original contract price! The stress of the job/decisions/design issues that arose, and there were those, were handled professionally and with understanding. My apartment in Chelsea was renovated completely by ANT Contracting Inc. Tamas Tiszold, the owner of the construction company changed my view and perception of the contractor in general. Tamas is extremely cautious and particular to the detail of his work. He does his project with care, precision and he is very professional. His excellent craftsmanship is impressive. He customized my kitchen and medicine cabinet, closets, vanity, build-in entertainment unit and queen size bed. The work schedule was timely and the overlapping of sub-contractors work was well executed. The renovation was finished earlier than expected. I'm extremely happy with the quality of the work and the final outcome of the entire renovation. Tamas is always available during the renovation and extended his time even after for assistance. I will recommend Tamas for any type of high quality home renovation.
