A few years ago, I moved into a very historic apartment in the French Quarter (New Orleans, LA) and began looking for an interior designer that could help create the living space and home I desired. I met Ty Larkins through a mutual friend and we talked about his work and some of the design concepts I envisioned for the space. It was very important for me to find someone I could collaborate with and build a level of trust to help create the home I wanted. After a few meetings, I knew Ty was the right person. He is not only creatively talented in his work and approach to design but I appreciated the open dialogue as he tested my own creative limits which ultimately forced me to step outside my comfort zone in terms of how I envisioned the apartment. You have to learn to truly trust in your designer and what makes working with Ty so special is his ability to reshape how you think about design while creating a space that is unique to you. After all, it’s your home and should be a reflection of your style and individuality. Ty did an amazing job and it was both educational and inspiring to see his creative talent at work! I love the home he helped create and cannot recommend him highly enough. It was truly a pleasure working with him and look forward to collaborating again on my next project.

Ty Larkins has rescued two of my 25-year-old paintings in the foyer and dining room which I was about to give up into a new phenomenon. Even when the artist revisited her works after 25 years later, she was so marveled of what a beautiful composition Ty had created. By redesigning the whole new settings he gave these art works a new life which I can continue to appreciate for the years to come. He has the incredible ability to work with people. He knows who I am and what I want. Every trip to his showroom is like a kid goes to a candy store. Every piece of furniture/accessory is hand picked by his unique taste. And his remarkable talent will transform them into a beautiful space yet very comfortable to live in.

Ty Larkins is an amazing talent with impeccable taste. My husband and I invested a lot into renovating our 1930's house, but we were tapped out of ideas when it came to decor. Thanks to Ty's expertise, we now have a home that reflects our personal style and rivals homes featured in the most popular interior design publications. Not only did he design a beautiful space, he gave us a design that will hold up nicely with our two active 7-year-olds. We look forward to working with Ty on every room in the house!

I fell in love with Ty's work years ago when I saw him in a magazine! We hired him to help us with a very difficult space. He came up with a design that blew us away! Ty included us in the entire design process. He is extremely talented and is filled with knowledge about design and architecture. After finishing the first room, he transformed our dining room! He is now working with us on a major renovation, which we would be lost without his help. We cannot wait for it to be done so we can enjoy the rest of our home as much as the other two spaces that he completed for us!

My husband and I worked with Ty on our formal living room of which he delivered EXACTLY what we had in mind. Ty listened to our ideas and implemented everything we wanted! Ty was a pleasure to work with and we have since hired him to complete our dining room, bedroom and office!

Ty Larkins has done so much for us with his amazing architectural and design skills over the last several years. It is hard to describe every little wonderful detail he has helped us with, but he has assisted us on a total of 6 investment homes in Historic Spanish Town that were going to be demolished, as well as our personal home. He assisted us with many details of the kitchen and baths and paint colors on the six investment homes resulting in Lance and I receiving the 2013 Phoenix Preservation Award given by the Foundation For Historical Louisiana. Next, Ty Larkins, took our 76 year old personal home that was falling into the ground when we purchased it and turned it into our most amazing home ever. Inside and out, Ty’s talent is outstanding. Our only regrets are a few things he wanted us to do and we did not. We are so happy with Ty and his talent that we feel like we live in a palace every day. We cannot say enough about how happy we are and how talented Ty is. Ty was there holding our hand and walking us through a very hard time restoring and preserving these homes that mean so much to Baton Rouge’s oldest neighborhood downtown.

I had long admired Ty Larkins' work when I had the pleasure of meeting him this past year at his Baton Rouge showroom. As a fellow Interior Designer and colleague, I cannot recommend him highly enough. He was eager to assist with my design projects and offers a multitude of beautiful custom furnishings and unique antique pieces.
