“We spent a long time trying to find a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy contractor to re-model our mast bathroom. It ended up being much harder than we expected to find someone we felt comfortable with. Finally we contacted 512 Remodel and Austen came to our house for a consult to discuss our plans. He was very nice and super helpful as we talked through the project. We relied on him for feedback/suggestions on the project design and he was very honest and willing to share his recommendations on how we would lay things out if it were his bathroom. We knew from that first meeting that he was the right person for the job and he sent us a comprehensive bid that ended up 100% accurate after the project was completed. Not only did he finish the project on time, but his estimate/bid was almost exactly what we ended up spending with the exception of a few small things that we adjusted in our plan along the way. The end result of the bathroom project turned out amazing and we could not be happier with the finished product. Our master bathroom is now officially the nicest room in the house and it looks like a bathroom you would see in a high end luxury property. We wished the rest of our house looked that nice! Here are a few things that we really liked about working w/ Austen and 512 Remodel. 1.Communication. Austen sent us emails every week with a detailed update on progress and also called out any small changes that impacted the estimate/bid. He would also send us frequent text messages to keep us informed on progress throughout the week. He never was hard to get ahold of anytime we needed to reach him for anything. We have dealt with many contractors in the past that make it impossible to reach them and that can really add stress to a remodel project. 2.Honesty / Trustworthiness / Reliability. Austen was very transparent with everything related to our project. He did not try and bait us in by showing a lower bid for the project and his prices in the original bid ended up being accurate/correct. There were times when he was able to find materials for cheaper than the bid and he would always tell us when that was the case and not charge us for the original amount in the bid. He finished the project on time and he always proactively kept us updated if anything changed during the project. 3.Service / Quality. The service that Austen provided was really much better than we expected. In addition to the amazing job he did on the bathroom remodel, he also delighted us with a few surprise services that we did not expect. After the Demo work was done on the original master bathroom, he arranged for a house cleaner to come into our house and clean the entire inside of our house from top to bottom! We definitely did not expect that. After the construction was completed, he had someone come out and pressure wash our driveway. We have never seen our driveway this clean since we moved into the house. Austen went the extra mile to always make sure we happy throughout the project. We are a bit OCD and there were a few small things in the bathroom that most people would never even notice. We pointed them out to Austen and he came back to the house and addressed them right away with no gripes. Lastly, there were several miscellaneous things we needed a handyman to do at our house and Austen knocked them out for us during the bathroom project and never even charged us for these items. 4.Flexibility. Austen was extremely flexible and always willing to accommodate any changes we requested during the project. We ended up changing our minds on some doors after he installed them and he was happy to remove them and not charge us for them. We also ended up getting his help on additional home improvement projects that were not part of the original bathroom remodel project. Despite his hectic schedule, he still went the extra mile and squeezed in additional small projects at our house on very short notice while he was working on the bathroom project. Good contractors are very hard to find and we were very lucky to find 512 Remodel for our bathroom re-model project. We would highly recommend Austen and 512 Remodel to anyone looking for a great home remodel contractor. We already have scheduled Austen and 512 Remodel to come back in a few months to do our fireplace and entertainment center.”
