Upgrades added a new covered patio and replaced a dilapidated balcony at our home. First and maybe the most important thing… the work done was high quality, and it looks great. They listened to what we wanted and worked hard to make sure we were happy throughout the entire process. We were also pleased at how well they took care of the property throughout the process, and they cleaned up before leaving every evening. The crew were not a bunch of guys picked up from the corner gas station – these were skilled craftsman. They provide fair pricing for the level of work they deliver. They weren’t the cheapest quote we received, but they were definitely the right choice. Payment schedule is also fair – incremental payments throughout the process with final payment not required until project completion. Did all the necessary work to coordinate with the city for permits, inspections, etc. Also did drawings to provide to my overly involved HOA. No fly by night concerns with this outfit.

Project was on time, on estimate and even better than we expected. Definitely a reliable and quality builder.

If you want top quality work at a fair price then Upgrades Construction shoulld be your choice. I watched the entire construction of my screened in porch and I can tell you the men doing the work paid great attention to detail and made sure everything was to my liking. Upgrades Construction did a fantastic job. The crew was professional and the job was done on budget. It turned out better than I expected and the only regret I've had is that I didn't do this upgrade sooner.

I used Upgrades when I finished out my patio on Hunters Parkway in Frisco in 2011. It was so beautiful! They matched the brick on the house with lovely arches leading to the backyard, and finished it out with flagstone porch and pathway to the garage. I was SO pleased with the results. I moved to McKinney in 2020, and am looking forward to completing a similar project on my farmhouse-style back porch, using a different design. In 16 years, I never had a problem with the design or construction work Upgrades did.

From the owner, Tom, who helped us design and embellish what was just a rough idea in our minds, through his son, Joey, who project-managed the day-to-day progress, to the team of highly-skilled, wonderful craftsmen who put the whole thing together. These gentlemen craftsmen are truly dedicated to their goal; a goal they repeated whenever we asked them if we could change something from what was agreed earlier, namely: “No problem. Our job is simply to make sure you're totally happy with your Porch.” And they did. And we love it! What's more, they provide the most wonderful entertainment as they work. They sing along to their radio, tease each other continuously, and generally just have fun. They clearly love their work and it shows in the finished product. If you are trying to find a reputable company for your outdoor project Upgrades Construction is the one hands down! After retiring from the new home building industry after 30+ years I had seen just about everything. My wife and I were looking for a contractor that would do a quality job at a reasonable price. We met with Tom Whiteside owner of Upgrades Construction and were impressed from the get go. Tom was professional and very knowledgeable as well as being able to make suggestions to make our project just exactly what we wanted it to be. The Upgrades crew was experienced polite clean and the work was immaculate. We can't say enough good things about our experience with Upgrades! We would highly recommend Upgrades Construction for your patio projects. We build a 26 X 16 patio cover built into our house including gutters. They are extremely professional and the craftsmanship is excellent. They clean up each day so you can continue to use your patio during construction. They also go the extra mile to ensure they are meeting your design elements. The project was delivered on time and within budget.

Upgrades Construction did an amazing job with our cedar pergola. The quality of work is impeccable down to the smallest detail. These guys are true professionals and a joy to work with. Customer satisfaction is a top priority. Our space was unique because of the location of an existing pool and because of city code setbacks and build lines, but Upgrades went above and beyond with design and accommodations while adhering to city code requirements. Pricing was very fair and competitive. Work was started promptly when promised. Plans were submitted to the city and approved within 24 hours. Wood was delivered the next day. The job was complete in less than a week (from original quote to finished project). We will be repeat customers with our future outdoor living projects. Highly recommend.
