We have been working with Vanguard Studio since November of 2016. We highly recommend the team and have built some show stopping homes in DFW with this studio. It has been a pleasure and a joy to work with John and Alberto and the rest of the team at Vanguard. From the very beginning John captured the vision we had for our home. He understood exactly what we wanted and was the only architect we could find in San Antonio or Austin that had any example of the farmhouse style home we were looking for. They have always been very prompt to return calls, emails, questions. We couldn't be happier! Our home is almost complete and we are more than satisfied with what we see! We can hardly wait to move in!

I have worked collaboratively with John at Vanguard Studio on numerous projects, and am constantly impressed by his architectural talent, his approachable demeanor, and his ability to listen to clients in an effort to provide the home of their dreams. He asks all the right questions, offers guidance when there are uncertainties, and seeks input and from all professionals involved. John met with us and after a couple of chats, he really listened and heard what our plans were for our new home. He managed to encapsulate almost everything on the first pass and after a few tweaks, he drew out the plans for our new home. Now that we are three months into construction and able to walk through the rooms, we realize that he was able to bring our dream home from paper to fruition. His team was very responsive and easy to work with. I would highly recommend John and his team for any projects you may be considering.

The Vanguard Studio's team is amazing and so friendly and easy to work with. We enjoyed every aspect of planning our home with them. John listened to us and was able to see the vision we had imagined and make it come true. He also shared some ideas that we hadn't thought of to make our home even more beautiful. We were out of town clients and the Vanguard team was able to accommodate our needs and make the process easy. I appreciated how they kept us up to date and stayed on budget. Really was a great experience all away around!

My husband and I loved working with Vanguard Studio. Our house turned out beautiful and they gave us great ideas to consider during the project. John and Jen are a fantastic team and went above and beyond to give our dream home!

We thoroughly enjoyed working with Vanguard Studio Inc. in the design of our historical looking home that fits so perfectly in our neighborhood. It turned out exactly as we envisioned. We provided a photo for the exterior of the house. We also provided interior photos, as well as a list of must haves, wishes, and what we don't like. We had lengthy, detailed discussions with John before starting and during the process. John visited our neighborhood plot and took the many existing trees into account. He began working on our plan almost immediately, producing an interior layout for us to approve. It was spot on! The exterior was perfect the first time as well! Lynn took over from there, creating all the details. The project continued quickly and I was contacted every step of the way. John continued to be involved, checking on every step of Lynn's designs. Every detail we could think of got on the plan so when it went out for construction bids, the contractors were able to be accurate. The entire design process took only about 2 months! This is our fifth house we are building. We are 100% happy with our experience with Vanguard Studio Inc. and it was definitely our best experience! We are currently completing construction of our home. I will post photos soon.

My husband and I worked with Vanguard to design and draw our dream house. We had specific ideas of what we wanted in the house, but John improved on it. I was very impressed that John did not try to change our ideas to fit what he wanted, but gave us an improved version of what we wanted. We are in the building phase now and John and Lynn continue to stay involved. I would use Vanguard again and would recommend them for wonderful residential design.

The Vanguard Team is as friendly, organized, efficient, and helpful as we could ever ask. Never did a meeting get cancelled, and for every single one they were 100% prepared. I always had heard that building a home is quite stressful, but I found it to be so darn fun!--mainly because The Vanguard Team has their act together. They were also quite practical and helpful--aside from the aesthetics of the house, they were great to also recommend cost-saving suggestions. Finally, I highly recommend Vanguard Studio because they are so thoughtful. Even though we are past the design stage of our dream home, they keep checking in on us, sending us notes/gifts, and making sure we are completely satisfied. I recommend them to everyone!

The very first thing, John Hathaway presented to my husband and I was a comprehensive questionnaire for both of us to fill out about what we liked/disliked about any previous homes we had lived in. It also contained questions about what we were expecting in the plans and design of the home we were going to build. The questions were specific in nature, i.e., placement of rooms, size of rooms, how many bathrooms/bedrooms, his/her closets, his/her office space, number of garage bays, porches front/back, etc. Additionally, we were given a beautiful book of homes Vanguard Studios had designed in the past and I incorporated some of those ideas into our home today. We would highly recommend Vanguard Studios for the following reasons: 1. They are good listeners 2. They check in with you often on your project as it develops from one stage to another 3. When problems occur, they are willing to help resolve issues as quickly as possible 4. They are patient with their customers when at the last minute they are asked to "redraw" or "redesign" a space 5. They make great suggestions Vanguard is a "team" effort and everyone involved gave my husband and I the peace of mind knowing they had our back!
