Weather Shield Windows & Doors

We have installed these windows and sliding doors in several homes and the last one has become a nightmare. All the sliding doors (Aluminum clad wood) have warped and don't seal properly, weatherstripping has literally fallen out of all of them and there is excess play, they don't close tightly, creating drafts around them. When I contacted warranty services they told me I had no idea what I was talking about and that it was impossible for their products to be warped or defective and have been no help. We went back and forth for over a year before I was able to get the one and only local service center/dealer to come out and confirm my beliefs. They then told me that Weather shield basically wouldn't do anything to help and that they would do whatever they could to help me out. Needless to say they never showed up again and no other window/door company in town will touch them! I strongly suggest not using this brand as their customer support has basically gone to nothing. Extremely disappointing after spending $60K on defective windows.

We purchased a 12 foot, 4 panel door sliding door system from WS. In less than a year one of the panels developed a bubble on the top of it. Called the company several times. Finally they sent a territory manager out who said he would take care of it. After another year they are not going to do anything about it. DO not waste your money there are too many better brands out there.

We have had our windows since 2014 and not impressed. First they gave us the wrong size depth for our walls and never compensated us like they said. Several windows will not open properly, in the winter you can see daylight through the area where it's supposed to seal. Good luck getting anyone to help you, they keep pawning you off onto someone else. Been waiting for a month to get a replacement part for our door that has a broken hinge.

Wish Weathershield would continue to service after sale parts, like window trim. Post covid, they are referring us to a local window store to get pieces which has resulted in really high pricing.

I spent a year looking for windows and doors for my winery and tasting room. What I was looking for was how the frames were connected along with how the cladding joints fit. Of all the medium to high price windows I looked at Weather Shield was of the most superior quality. They thought of everything down to plastic protection around the exterior and cardboard around the wood interior during the construction phase.

Weathershield Signature series windows and doors were installed in 2018 on my mid-rise multi-family project located South Carolina. The line exceeded my expectations as a designer and architectural project manager. Weathershield was well supported by Morrison Millwork and their representative Bill who proved to be an asset to the project during installation.

Weather Shield Windows & Doors is our go to product for all of our custom homes and renovations. Bill Kislers industry knowledge and service is second to none. I would highly recommend them for your next project.

We are very pleased with out decision to use WeatherShield. In fact, we selected WeatherShield for the remodeling of our main house which involved all new windows and doors and we used their products for the construction of a new Guest Studio. Ethan Gregory, our Weathershield Territory Manager has been terrific during the planning process, installation and after completion. Very responsive and very knowledgeable plus a pleasure to work with. Our Contractors were also complimentary concerning these windows particularly certain features that facilitated installation.

Had a 4-panel sliding patio door installed, looks great and came with a screen also! Very pleased with A I M Window & Door out of Columbus, OH and Weather Shield! Door is solid and can’t hear traffic/outside noise. My card lady friends always compliment my door.

Weathershield is a perfect company if you enjoy poor workmanship, a company that doesn't stand behind their products, and customer service who blames others for their shoddy doors. I wasted $3k on a door that I replaced with an Anderson 6 months later. Good luck!
