Mark Christy Construction

We worked with Mark Christy for approximately six months as he added a bathroom, bedroom, and walk in closet to our house. He was right on top of everything that came up. Things happen and Mark was professional, helpful, and proactive. He checked on all work done by subcontractors and redirected if needed. We had a problem with the mini split heater/ac unit and he made sure we were taken care of, a year later! We definitely recommend Mark Christy for your remodeling needs.

Mr. Christy of Christy Construction has done quite a lot of extensive work for me involving bay window additions, drywall, drywall texture, custom deck Construction vent installation and many other custom details. Our cottage was built in 1941 and evidently re-modeled by various owners in the 70s and 80s. For many years we have been interested in a restore/re-model project including a tear down and replacement of what had been a garage that was previously converted to a cold, ugly family room. When contacting contractors we were a bit disappointed to find that most had their own ideas of what we should or could do that was often in conflict with what we wanted. Then we met Mark Christy. From the very first meeting what distinguished Mark from all the others was that he truly listened to what we were thinking and then immediately began explaining how he could make those ideas work. Instead of "you can't do that" or "you don't want to do that" it was always "Yes, we can do that and here is how it will work", while also explaining other potential viable options. One of our goals was to retain the charm and style of the original dwelling and marry that to the Farmhouse style new construction replacing the “family room” tear down. In a two year project in which they completely remodeled the kitchen, enlarged and beautifully tiled and made ADA compliant the master bathroom, refinished existing and installed new wood floors, replaced existing cabinetry and installed new custom cabinets and library shelving, covered three existing porches, built a two story addition that nearly doubled the square footage, painted the entire structure, installed a balcony and a large deck, concrete work for sidewalks and a courtyard, a wonderful catio, a backyard gazebo on a stone inlaid concrete pad with lights and a natural gas firepit, and a beautiful customized fence to enclose it all. In looking at the finished product we can only marvel at the attention to detail that is apparent in every aspect of each component. Mark and his crew are all extremely knowledgeable craftsmen, entirely professional and clearly care about their work and the happiness of their customers. A long project like this could have taken a serious toll on our family, as we were living in a construction zone the entire time, and on our neighbors having to deal with various disruptions. Because of the professionalism exhibited by Mark and his crew, there were never any issues to be dealt with. No matter what your needs are, tear down, re-model, fine finish work or intricate tile installations, modern new construction and/or new construction in old world style and craftsmanship, we cannot imagine a better choice than Mark Christy Construction. Completely honest and dependable as well as truly nice people. Mark is a very competent, professional, knowledgeable contractor. He can do all phases of construction, from foundation work to finish work. He is a very hard worker, and worked in snow conditions that many would not have attempted. He has a great attitude, and genuinely cares about his job and customers. He is always on top of my list for construction needs.

We had our kitchen remodeled and our concrete slab leveled out. Everything was done professionally and if something wasnt able to be done we were always notified as soon as possible. Once everything was done everything was cleaned up not a single piece of trash or wood laying on our property. I will definitely use his company for all construction we do

I contracted with Mark Christy Construction to build two new homes for sale on the open market. Both were built in a timely fashion with excellent value and quality as a key elements. I appreciated the great communication and the ease of working with Mark and plan to use his company again.
