I have more than 30 years of experience in landscape architecture, design, and construction. My hands on involvement include everything from digging ditches to presenting plans in front of corporate boards. I have had the opportunity to be actively involved in projects at every level and I include that knowledge in the planning I prepare for all of my customers. I know that’s it’s immensely valuable to be able to assess a situation based on personal experience, not just what you read out of a book. Madara Design Inc. is currently designing and supervising projects, for residential, commercial, and municipal customers. The scope of work includes initial site layout, planting plans, decks, retaining walls, water features, pools, lighting, irrigation and every aspect of landscape development. Our customers throughout the state include estate settings, small intimate gardens, wineries, corporate headquarters and city parks to name a few. Madara Design is committed to the importance of sustainability in design and is spearheading efforts to be responsible stewards of our local community. We are constantly pursuing design criteria that further our ability to work in harmony with our environment. At Madara Design we believe that a quality landscape design enhances and complements the local setting and the building archtecture, combining with them to create a whole that is greater than the sum of the parts. As significant as all of these things are, the satisfaction I get from seeing a project rise from the ground into a fully developed landscape, and being able to see the fruits of my labor and how they improve over time is a feeling I can not compare.
