Debra is a professional with excellent ideas and a wonderful ability to cater to the clients specific culture, personality, needs etc. Debra provided all of the personal touches to our office space and I feel like I am at home everyday at work. She is kind and hardworking and can pivot and respond to the changing opinions. I still reach out to Debra for tips and tricks and she never hesitates to assist.

We recently worked with Debra and Cocoon home design to help us with our living room update. Debra is not only an incredible person to work with, but she is also so talented in looking at a space, seeing its potential, and then working to really understand the needs and hopes of her clients. We really appreciated how Debra was able to pull the various elements together from our own collections, as well as new pieces, creating an updated space that feels both unique and inviting. Debra's use of textiles and botanicals is a real differentiator and makes the space come alive - a place where family and friends want to gather. Loved working with Debra at Cocoon Home Design. We had been in our mid-century modern home for a few years and desperately wanted to style the main living spaces (living room and dining room) but didn't know where to start. Debra started by re-arranging our existing furniture - no cost and it was very impactful. We then strategically choose where to invest our budget for new pieces and painting. I love our home now - it's comfortable and homey while also appealing. I could not have done it without Debra and Cocoon Home Design. So easy to work with it and fantastic results.

We hired Debra to help remove the funk from our kitchen and great room, which had not been updated in twenty years. During our initial consultation, she simply moved some furniture around which made a great improvement to the space. Debra was fantastic and helped remove the stress from the project. She was accessible as a designer and was very responsive to our questions and multiple changing ideas. Debra assisted us with paint colors, rugs and furniture. We are a pretty opinionated household when it comes to our living space and she was very easy going with us. Her gentle hand-holding made the process fun for all.

We worked with Cocoon Home Design on a major home renovation. This was our first home, so we were uncertain about the process as well as the final look and feel we wanted to achieve. We knew Debra’s aesthetic well from her work in Cambridge and had planned to work with her even from the start of our home search. Debra was indispensible throughout the entire process, providing structure, guidance, and a well-trained eye. First, she worked with us to identify the key elements we sought in a new home and in a general contractor. She then did the leg work to identify a general contractor that was a good fit and had the requisite skill and attention to quality that she knew we would need Second, Debra created and iterated vision boards to help capture the look and feel for each room. She coached us into considering new ideas and in finding the right balance between elements in each room. She also identified truly unique statement pieces. Finally, Debra acted as an on-demand sounding board and helped us make quick, well-reasoned decisions about design elements without second guessing. I can’t overemphasize how much time this saved. From managing us as clients to kicking off the renovation process to realizing our design vision, Debra has been a joy to work with and a trusted advisor. We highly recommend her.

Debra is very talented person and an amazing designer! She and her team helped my with both my Condo in Boston and my home in the Suburbs. They achieved exactly what I wanted. Whether I was starting from scratch or working with existing pieces the results were great. She is also a pleasure to work with.

I worked with Cocoon Home Design on some refinishing of my home when we bought it in 2010. Debra sourced the contractors and sub contractors as well as supervised the job. She also helped me with interior design. Together we choose fabrics, furniture, paint colors, and wallpaper. Debra is an extremely talented person. She has an amazing eye, is a good listener and is calm and professional. I really appreciated that we worked as a team because I love design and was looking for someone to be a partner in the process. As any good designer will do, she pushed me to explore things that I might not have looked at on my own.
