Renata Sene - The Colourful Wall

Renata from The Colourful Wall completely transformed our mudroom with her one-of-a-kind mural. Inspired by Eric Carle, the design is fun, bright, and vibrant—our three kids are absolutely in love with it. What impressed us most is how she combined beauty with function, adding thoughtful touches like shelving, hooks, and shoe storage so the space feels both organized and full of life. Renata is an incredibly talented, up-and-coming muralist in Toronto who creates unique designs that make everyday spaces truly special. Her work is gaining attention quickly, and it’s easy to see why—her creativity, attention to detail, and ability to bring joy into a room are unmatched. Renata is incredible! From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure working with her. She was able to compose a beautiful mural for my kids playroom based on my random ideas and their colour preferences and it was just right. Renata was a complete pleasure to work with. She took the time to understand my vision and was very open to feedback to ensure she got things right. She came up with a beautiful design and then executed it in a stunning way. She was also very professional and neat while working in my home. I have received so many compliments on the beautiful mural she painted and every time I look at it I feel calm and happy, exactly the effect I was looking for.

Renata was wonderful to work with and produced a beautiful mural for us, exactly what we wanted. She worked tirelessly with us to bring our vision to life, even when we didn't know exactly what we wanted at the beginning. The installation was completed over the course of a few days, working around our schedule. Renata is a lovely person and a wonderful artist. Highly recommended.

We had Renata do two wall murals for us and she was exceptional. From the get-go, she was very responsive and came to check out the space quickly. She worked closely with us to figure out what design would be best, taking in the various books and photos and experiences we told her about which we wanted reflected in the pieces to create something that was beautiful. She also checked in with us about the designs and colour palates, and was responsive to feedback during the process (not that much needed to be modified as she had really listened to what we were looking for!). She was respectful of our home when she came to do the work and was efficient in creating absolutely beautiful artworks in both rooms which we absolutely love! They've been up for a few months now and look fantastic, really brightening the rooms and creating the look and evoking the feelings we were going for. She is so talented and is such a lovely person to work with as well. I honestly couldn't recommend her more!

Five stars do not do enough justice for Renata and her wonderful work but the system does not allow for more! In our home she did a large mural at my daughter's room of the Aegean and Greek-island architecture. She was always polite and humble in her dealings with us, she went above & beyond with the detail so it comes to perfection, and literally speaking she brought a vivid part of Greece in our daily lives here in Canada! I attach some pictures because the end-result came even better than my wildest expectations. She was detailed and spent a bit more time on it, as she cannot settle with something which is not to her standards As she is also an architect, her work is more "involved/evolved" that "simply mural painting" and it shows. Pricing was also quite reasonable. Thanks again Renata and it was a pleasure working with you!
