Erik and his overall team have been beyond exceptional! From working through minor modifications as we approached close-out through small support asks since we’ve moved in, Erik has been attentive and effective. The home itself comes with a great deal of foresight for routing services and future development, expansion, or internal modifications to the property. Erik’s been wildly patient with the immense amounts of silly questions I’ve heaped on him and very responsive and thorough when support’s been requested. Me and my wife couldn’t be happier with the house and the people that built it.

We built our custom home in Smoke Rise, Georgia, and had an outstanding experience working with this builder. From the very beginning, it was clear that he is extremely detail-oriented and genuinely invested in the quality of his work. Unlike many builders, he is on site every day and actively participates in the actual construction of the home. His hands-on approach made a noticeable difference throughout the entire process. Our home was built with energy efficiency as a priority. He used spray foam insulation throughout, along with a thick insulation barrier under the hardwood floors, which has made the home comfortable, quiet, and efficient. The craftsmanship is exceptional, especially the high-quality trim work, which is nearly seamless throughout the house and truly elevates the finished look. He works with excellent subcontractors and keeps projects moving efficiently. The build stayed on schedule, and quality was never sacrificed. He was always accessible for questions and took the time to explain options clearly. He never tried to oversell us—instead, he presented thoughtful choices and helped us select what best fit our needs and budget. Building a custom home can be overwhelming, but his professionalism, transparency, and commitment to doing things the right way made the experience smooth and positive. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a high-quality, energy-efficient custom home. -Scot

I have used Gordon Custom Homes on several projects at my home; as well as, my Mother’s home. Each project was completed in the agreed upon time and budget. The projects were executed and managed in a professional and stress free manner. I would recommend them if you are looking for quality and results you can be proud of.

We are so happy we worked with Jennifer and Erik on our new home. From the start, it was clear they were not like other other builders. It seemed like Erik laid his eyes on everything (I remember him working on the roof or installing particularly difficult windows himself). Jennifer was so thoughtful in her approach as well. After the house was framed, she came to us with a few changes in the plans she thought of after walking the house. Clearly she had been considering how we would actually live in the house as the construction went forward. Whether it was our realtor who commented on how unusually collaborative Erik and Jennifer were or our inspector commenting on how well the house was made, we knew we were in good hands. They built us a beautiful home, and we are lucky to have worked with them.

Our job was a small, 400 sqft, auxiliary structure, sort of a mini house. We had plans drawn up, but were able to work with Erik to both change them, to change a room to a bathroom, and Erik was good at asking very specific questions to make the overall experience smooth. Once we had the permits out of the way, the build was entirely done in 6 weeks, on schedule. Erik was really good with the contractors, and there were no long delays of no work getting done. He even stuck it out with us to get the porta-potty removed after work was complete, when it would have been easy to drop the issue out of frustration. Overall, we were very satisfied with the pace and quality of work, and we had a great working relationship with Erik.
