We wish we had known Brooks and Jenny earlier! They helped us with front yard landscaping and really enhancing the backyard design (that was done by another contractor). The whole process from beginning to end was wonderful. The initial design itself was very creative. They suggesting some hardscaping that opened up the front door area, introduced a walled area that added dimension, and angled the entrance. Brooks also added thoughtful functionality to the alley way so we can move our garbage bins outside and a putting area in an unused portion of the backyard. Our place is so much more live-able and enjoyable now! Jenny is an expert with plants and introduced amazing kentia palms to the front and back. There were also a lot of accent plants, touches of lavender, and neatly positioned vines that can grow around the house! They did a great job with irrigation, with each plant getting their own spout. The night lighting was also great, focused on spotlighting the main trees. Towards the end, the attention to detail of the entire was amazing and they were open to making repeat trips to make sure everything was right. They were such a pleasure to work with -- my wife Shannon and I can't recommend them enough! See below for a few pictures, including a "before" picture. The transformation was huge!

We had been wanting to renovate our backyard for the past few years, and I am so glad we chose Brooks and Jenny from Brookside for the project. They did an incredible job with both the design and the execution. Communication was excellent the whole way through, and the final result turned out incredible. My favorite part about working with Brookside was how much they learned about what we wanted and would actually use, rather than build something that met an off the shelf design or was more of a portfolio piece. We had searched for a landscape design firm for over a year and no one felt quite right for us. From the first time that I spoke with Brooks after he very quickly returned my call to beyond the completion of our backyard project, we knew we had made an excellent decision in choosing Brookside Landscape Design for our home. We are exceedingly pleased with the results and can't thank Brooks and Jenny enough for all of their expertise, creativity, hard work and kindness during our time with them. Brooks and Jenny make an excellent team, each with their own and shared strengths to form a strong and knowledgeable partnership. They checked in at least once a week, and were always available by phone or email. The construction team was also excellent and amazingly hard-working. They even took our trash receptacles out each week ! It was the big and the small touches that made all the difference and with every person we encountered, there was a commitment to creating a beautiful result.

If I could give Brooks, Jenn, Rafa and the entire team 10 stars, I would. They were AMAZING from the very start. I went onto Houzz looking for a local landscape designer who had projects that matched the vibe we were looking for in our backyard. Brookside was one of the first calls I made based on photos and great reviews. After a brief convo with Brooks, I knew they were the right fit. My husband and I had a blank slate to work with in our yard, so we gave Brooks and Jenny an idea of what we wanted, and let them run with a design they felt would fit the space well. They KILLED it. Nailed everything we wanted and then some. We also paid the extra fee to have Jenny help us with the furnishing aspect of the project, and it was TOTALLY worth it. Patio furniture can be expensive and annoying, and Jenny helped point us in all the right directions, which ultimately saved us time and money. We have already refereed the Brookside team to several of our friends!

Brookside Design was so incredible to work with I can't recommend them enough!!! Brooks and Jenny were so efficient, polite and professional and I could not have been more pleased. They spent the weekend at my house in Twentynine Palms and after two days, we walked the entire property and discussed all the ideas that I had given them and they had a full landscape plan done and ready to go. My budget was very small but you can see from the photos how it turned out. Highly recommended and worth every penny. Thanks guys!!

A full yard renovation was an entirely new experience for my wife and me. Looking back on it, the journey was far more expansive and adventurous than we’d ever imagined. It was only possible because we had an attentive and engaging contractor to guide us along the way. We had a consultation with Brooks and the three of us walked around and we talked about the basics of our ideas. My wife and I had a few other areas of the yard we had a desire to “freshen up.” Brooks was confident that the requests being made were easily achievable. But where Brookside differed from other landscape architects was the final vision of the project. He was able to connect the dots for us - and he described a yard that was fluid, intuitive, and updated. The way he did this was by asking questions. He never told us what he thinks should be done. He guided us to help us decide what our yard should look like. I found that to be particularly warming as a client. After a few more fairly brief consultations, Brooks had drafted a computer render of our entire property with a scaled summary of proposed ideas. This was the first time we had really “seen” what we have been talking about. After confirming some ideas and denying others, the project started quickly. Demolition and construction was at an incredibly efficient pace. The construction team was highly qualified and minimally intrusive to our daily lives. They worked cleanly and completely independently. The entire process was exciting to watch. Every week or so we would meet with Brooks to review any items that had come up. Toward the end Brooks’ wife Jenny would meet with us and discuss plants and decor. Her expertise was immediately evident. She created a vision board for us and we loved the direction she was able to take us. My wife and I give the highest recommendation for Brookside Landscaping. We will without a doubt be contacting them again in the future.

My wife and I wanted to renew our 15-year wedding vows at our home last year. One of our first tasks was to get our backyard ready for our party.
