This company is absolutely the best you can find anywhere. Chuck , the owner is very easy do deal business with . His prices are very reasonable. His employees who worked at our place - Cavell and Ian, are the nice people and they are reliable and professional. Always came on time. Did amazing job that took them just 2 weeks from the very beginning to the end. The quality of work is exceptional.

The Best Hardwood Flooring Contractor in San Diego. We returned home after a weekend away, only to find that our dishwasher had failed and leaked water all throughout the kitchen. The flooring we had installed during our remodel was an Armstrong product that had been discontinued so repairing the floor was not an option. We had several flooring companies come out to bid the project, and found Chuck Kelly to be the most knowledgeable, experienced, and competitively priced. He has been in business for over 30 years in San Diego, so we were very comfortable with having his team in are home. Job was quoted for a 5-day installation, his crew showed up on time every day, was professional, cleaned up at the end of each day and completed the job on time. Woodchuck Flooring did a fantastic job replacing our floor in the kitchen and dining room. We had 5 estimates for our job and went with them because they were professional and friendly. The weren't the cheapest but weren't the most expensive either. Its a father and son business and that's a big plus in my book. Their installers, Cameron and Kavel, were on time each day and cleaned up before they left. They also repaired our bathroom floor and had to fit in some odd sized boards that we had and you can't even tell the difference! Two weeks after completing the kitchen I knocked a cast iron pan out of the cabinet and damaged 2 boards. I called them crying and Chad explained they would be out of town for a week and would call me as soon as they got back. He called Friday afternoon and they were out first thing Monday morning to replace the damaged boards. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again and have already referred them to someone else! AWESOME guys!!! AWESOME work!!!!

Chad, Chuck and their fabulous installation team ( Cameron and Kevell) helped us to achieve a full luxury vinyl installation for our downtown San Diego condo under tight timelines and restrictive conditions with our HOA. Chad was super prompt, courteous and professional and always very patient with all of my questions and delays due to international travel. Thank you Chad, for hanging in there. Cameron and Kevell are incredibly talented not to mention fun! They are extremely skilled at their craft of removing existing carpet and / or tile and installing LVT tile. Arrived for the estimate on time; they were courteous, polite and knowledgeable. Estimate arrived within one day and the starting date for the project was set. The crew was on time, courteous, and knowledgeable. The project was the living room and stairs leading to the bottom floor and took about three days (demo, preparation, and installation). At the end of each day, the project area was clean and tools were put away. It’s been eight months and the floor is as nice as the day they left. What more could you ask for? I would recommend Woodchuck Flooring to friends and family anytime.

My husband and I used woodchuck for our condo. We had them do the floors while we were away. Everything we wanted done was completed to perfection! We came home to perfect floors with everything we had asked be put back neatly in its place. They were very good about making sure it was finished upon our return leaving the process stress free. Chuck, David, and their team saved me from a nightmare scenario I found myself in by hiring the wrong contractors. The difference between Chuck's team and the shoddy contractors I hired was night and day. - Chuck came by nearly every day to check up on the work on the house. This is compared to the other guy I initially hired, who just came to collect my check, leaving me to deal with their shoddy subcontractors. - Chuck and David took the time to perfect the job - most importantly, the leveling. I had pretty janked up wooden subfloors that needed to be worked on. Dave and his crew of 5+ guys worked quickly and efficiently to float the entire area. Even if it meant more material and a higher cost on their end, they put in the extra effort to get the job done right. That's dedication! - David spent most of the time with the subfloor prep and leveling (the most important part of the job). If the contractors you hire are laying down flooring immediately after demoing the carpet...then that's a pretty bad sign. The first guys I hired had the "get in, get out" mentality and were doing just that. David, on the other hand, took an ample amount of time to vacuum, seal, prep and level the floors. I was amazed at the level of detail and perfection of David's work. - By the time I had to fire the first contractors, I left with mess. Chuck and David were kind enough to work with what they had left, even if it meant dealing with base boards that were not purchased through Chuck, or having to sort between good and damaged boards. - The manner in which David set up before working was impeccable. He had the appropriate tools for the job. He set up a vacuum to collect any dust from his saws, and had the plastics covering the walls to protect them from damage. The other guys I hired set their miter saw up next to my front yard, leaving loads of plastic debris all over my plants! Additionally, because David knew how to set up before each leg of the job, he was able to quickly and efficiently finish a job in just a few days. - The quality of materials they used were industry leading products. David used Bolstik SL-GYP for the leveling, along with the appropriate primer, and foam sealant. As a fellow homeowner, I urge others to take extreme caution in selecting who you decide to hire, and let touch your home. I've realized that there are a ton of shoddy contractors out there these days who look at these jobs as quick money-grabs. They'll do all they can to minimize the amount of labor, man-hours, and materials on their end, without caring much of the final product you're left with. It might be just a week's project for them, but your floors are something you have to deal with for 30+ years. Don't try to skimp on $2-5k to might cause a $100k problem down the line when you're trying to sell your home. Thank you, Chuck, David and Shane for the amazing job.
