We felt very SEEN and cared for by everyone we worked with at Woodways. They really understood our project and our wants, and we even got to bring our pots and pans into the store to test out corner cabinets for fit. (Highly recommend by the way - we found that we couldn't use some of the setups because our slow cooker or biggest pot wouldn't fit!) We love that melamine is a non-toxic material, high priority for us, and the design was fit exactly to our needs. We had our own installer, so I can't speak to that part of the work. We particularly love the very wide custom drawers and the very deep drawers to hold all those pots, along with the roll-out drawers just where we wanted them. Highly recommend!

Buyer beware! Woodways came highly recommended to us by a reputable builder. From day 1, communication was awful and we should have pulled our project, but kept thinking the final outcome would be worth it. Staff consistently contradicts each other. We wanted a white wash cabinet and was told a sample would cost $180, that would go towards the project. The sample was the size of 2 quarters as seen in the photo! Jim, who told me he’s the self proclaimed “buck stops here guy” constantly would make things up to try and protect his staff and the mistakes that were made. We signed off to have under cabinet lighting in the back, which was an option on display in the showroom, and the designer told us “we can do whatever you want, we’re a custom cabinet company.” The cabinets were delivered with the under cabinet lighting drilled out for the front and Jim told us that’s because they’ve never drilled it out in the back and engineering thought it was a typo, despite what we signed off on. ALL BUT 2 cabinet doors were delivered unfinished! I made many phone calls and wanted to speak to the manager who attempted to call me once and then never returned calls/emails. I finally got the lead engineer out and he agreed the cabinets looked bad and they had to come out and replace every cabinet door! Our floating shelves were not finished. Our black cabinets were not finished. They used a light grey stripping to hold glass in for a black cabinet that looks like dust around the edge when the door was closed. They sent someone out unannounced to fix things over spring break week when we weren’t home, and I still haven’t heard back. They advertise “open door policy” to go see your cabinets being built (which was a selling point for me) and when I gave two dates we were able to go, I was straight up told “no.” We signed off on our project in September, cabinets were delivered in December, and our project still isn’t complete! Overall the finished cabinets we received the second time seem nice, but there are other local custom cabinet companies that excel in product AND communication and I would not recommend Woodways for their failure at communication and delivering satisfactory product before it leaves the warehouse. No one could give me an explanation why unfinished cabinets were delivered to my house.

4 years ago my wife and I bought a tired cedar home that sits on a bluff overlooking one of the best salmon fishing rivers in Michigan. Not much had been done to the house since it was built in 1970. It even still had the gold shag carpet. We remodeled everything in the house from roof to basement but waited on the kitchen. We waited because we wanted to majorly overhaul the kitchen and dining area. There was no way to handle it other than a gut rehab. We tore down the walls of our laundry room which basically blocked our main entrance and view into the house when you walk in. I attached a photo of our all in one washer and dryer and how we integrated that area into the kitchen. Our goal was to build a new kitchen that has a 1970's vibe in homage to the year it was built. We chose Woodways because they hand build high end custom kitchens. We knew that they would best be able to help with our 1970 kitchen built in 2022. The kitchen that Kelsey helped us design turned out amazing. We could not believe the quality of the cabinets. You know you have hand built custom cabinets when they arrive and each piece has your name written on it along with the part number. My general contractor commented that these were the most beautiful well built cabinets he has ever seen. I posted some photos of the finished product. We went with rolled vinyl flooring, and laminate countertops. We even did a 6" back splash with the chrome cove molding and cap. We had a couple issues with some parts that were not built right, either size or a missing finished end. Sam from Woodways got right on it and they got me the right parts quickly. I was also having a hard time adjusting a couple of the doors and a service rep from Woodways drove an hour and a half to our house and helped me with the issues. Of course it was user error, meaning me. If you are looking for a "forever kitchen" you need to use Woodways!

I am new to area and found Woodways by referral. They were professional, communicative and on time with my project. I used their design services for my kitchen project and love the result. The quality of the cabinets are very good and the functionality of the layout is right on. Christine was my representative and she is knowledgeable, creative and a pleasure to work with. I will use Woodways and Christine for future projects.

Woodways was fantastic from start to finish working with them was easy!!! We loved visiting their showroom and seeing the quality and variety of their products. Once our cabinets were ready the whole delivery/install process was very smooth. I’m so glad we did our kitchen cabinets with Woodways they are so high quality and fit even in our budget. We couldn’t be happier!

With our youngest child in college we began to look at our empty nest and dream about the next chapter of our lives. We loved our home - it's location, our neighbors, and our memories. We didn't want to move, but after twenty three years, it was time for a major makeover. We knew we wanted to support a local company, and a relative recommended Woodways. We had shopped around, and for a little more money we were able to create quality, custom cabinets that still "wow" us every time we walk in the door. From start to finish, Theresa, Eric, and the Woodways team provided us with amazing customer service, attention, and support. We know we weren't their only customers, but we felt like we were! Theresa responded to every email in a timely manner with great ideas and support and Eric was up to any challenge we presented. And the finished product...it's an amazing feeling when you get a text from your contractor that says, "Also these are the best cabinets I have put in in a long time. Very, very, great quality". We now have the cabinets we dreamed of. We are so impressed with the sleek, contemporary cabinets with soft-closing doors and under cabinet lighting. We recently built a new home and were uncertain on who to utilize for our kitchen as we had interest in having black cabinets. After connecting with Woodways, they offered a newer product "Rehau" that was a durable, matte black cabinet. Woodways and their engineering/sales team was excellent from start to finish. Our unique design and desire for a black kitchen wasn't an easy task, but their staff was genuine and effective with hitting deadlines while not sacrificing quality along the way. Overall - we highly recommend using Woodways for any project. Their experience is highly valuable when working through any remodel or custom new home. You won't regret working with them! Woodways came through! The designer was fantastic and listened to our thoughts, ideas, and wishes. She came up with a plan, helped us see other points of view, and how functionality would be improved. Although installation was delayed due to COVID-19, we finished up with a great product, with exceptional materials and workmanship. We definitely will recommend Woodways to our friends and family.
