Originally from Slovakia, Juraj has long been inspired by architecture and design. His first project was as a young boy, restoring his family's mill that he grew up in. This fueled his passion for engineering and design, which he went on to study as he grew older. Juraj has a Masters Degree in civil engineering and wood technology from the Technical University of Zvolen in Slovakia. He then went on to do post graduate research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). Juraj went on to design houses all over Europe including Italy, Austria and Germany before moving to Nantucket in 2006 to gain more hands-on knowledge of wood construction. Juraj enjoys working closely with clients to help shape their vision into a tangible reality. His combination of engineering, design and hands-on construction experience provide an advantage and unique outlook when creating designs. Juraj's other great love is extreme water-sports and kiteboarding. His passion and creativity with the sport is reflected in everything he does.
