RUF did an incredible job with the renovation of our 4-bedroom home. We bought a foreclosed house and it was a mess. There were conflicting styles from several phases of prior renovation, much was in disrepair, and several things had been purposefully damaged or removed by the previous owners. We asked RUF to help us redesign the home to give it a clean, modern, yet comfortable aesthetic, but to leave the overall structure of the home intact in order to keep the project cost reasonable. RUF's vision for the design was to bring the home back to its California ranch roots, updated in a classically modern style. The result is a beautiful modern home that feels open, airy, and comfortable that will not go out of style like so many trendy "modern" designs. All our visitors fall in love with it. RUF was professional, courteous, and fun to work with. Since RUF is based in Vancouver and the project site was in California, it was not possible for RUF to be physically present on the site very often, so I managed many of the project details myself, but RUF was very flexible with this arrangement and extremely helpful with suggestions and feedback when required. You will not find a designer with a better grasp of what makes modern design truly compelling and timeless.

Sean Pearson is the most amazing architect I have ever worked with. He is a true artist, dedicated to the project and the vision. I can't tell you the number of all-nighters he pulled to meet impossible deadlines. The project was a full home renovation where the house was ripped down to the studs. The project was completed on an impossibly ambitious schedule. The home is beautiful and a delight to all. It has won every major award due to Sean's persistence, ability to work with others and of course, his design.
