Don White is a self-trained, contemporary abstract painter and color artist who currently resides in St Paul, Minnesota. Comments on my process: I start in one medium and end up in another, so I wanted to explain it a little -- I start with pen/brush and ink over multiple watercolor washes, combined using a process I came up with (accidentally), of layering hand drawn circles of all sizes, on thick heat pressed watercolor paper and over multiple applications of color and water…then I usually do 2 or 3 partial images at once, with my "mind's eye idea" in focus....once I have the images in front of me, I try to create a “mood” by blending 2 or more of the separate drawings...then I get both images into Photoshop and layer one on top of the other, then save it as a unique file...(a hand drawn, digitally produced original work) ....from there I have the image transferred to canvas and framed – it's very fun!
