Unlike some other contractors, he does most of the physical work himself(!) so all his projects meet his own exacting standards. He's got a great eye for what would look good in a given space, is willing to consult with the owner and offer his thoughts, but not push you one way or another. He can visualize a space and sketch out a drawing plan that gives a really good idea of what it will look like after the job is complete. Detailed knowledge of materials and sound engineering skills mean that he's able to do a job that will last, will not be subject to shifting and settling or instability. Beyond this, his pricing is also quite fair. You won't find a better deal for a high quality project!”

“We first met Tim from Stonepocket at the Minneapolis Home & Garden Show. We were able to compare many companies at the same time and the Stonepocket booth stood out from the crowd right from start. It was clear that Tim had a passion and a depth of knowledge about unique plants and landscape designs that representatives from the other booths simply could not match. Our goal was to find someone who could bring to life our vision of an English country garden and make it happen in Minnesota. He succeeded. We wanted color and flowers, actually lots of flowers, but we also wanted a flow to the garden, something you could stroll through and admire, we wanted interest all year and we absolutely wanted plants that were unique, different and impossible to find at the big box stores. Tim delivered. He worked closely with us during the design, he listened to our ideas, he gave us many of his own to consider and we spent a long time walking the yard and discussing options and possibilities. We had something of a rare request of a landscaper these days; we wanted a working garden, something that he would help start but was not complete, something that we could enjoy, build on and shape for many years to come. He did not disappoint. We put in close to 500 plants all of which completed each other and many of which were unique in our neighborhood or completely new varieties released that year. We precisely placed handpicked boulders for a unique flower bed to lawn transition effect and to top it off we also created an exceptional bluestone patio surrounded by gorgeous planting.
