Hi my name is J.E. Patterson I’m a self-taught Nashville based artist from Brisbane Australia. I think of my work as thought fragments using various methods. New media, photo, ink, collage and fractals placed within a varying construct to shape and form the reality of each of my works. All my work is on metal with a clear polymer coat. I love the straight, clean sharp presentation. My work sits off the wall using metal bars giving it a floating 3D’ish vibe. Each piece is an exploration; a journey in which my destination is unknown to me. The only question I ask myself is the following: Is it ultra modern and fresh? I never dictate what people should see or feel when viewing my works. I love the varying ideas of what my art means to each person, individually.As an artist, I see my work as a doorway. What each person discovers, after entering, is their own journey. ART SHOWS
