Generation Development

Frustrating and disappointing process working with Generation Development and Slifer, Smith, and Frampton on the purchase of a condo at the Arbory. I went under contract for a condo at the Arbory in summer 2022. During this time, the developer and sales team communicated that closings would happen in September / October 2022 and delays would be unlikely. However, since this time, closings keep getting pushed back month by month and are now 7 months + delayed without a set close date even at this point. Communications are poor, progress updates are not transparent, and there is a clear lack of accountability. My impression at this point is that the developers and sales team are dishonest in their representations of timelines in order to sell more units and mislead buyers. Buyers at the Arbory, including myself, have now incurred tens of thousands of dollars of additional lending fees due to delays in closing, which the seller is unwilling to assist with. Would be highly cautious if deciding to go under contract the the Arbory or other developments through Generation Development due to their business practices.
