Construction Junction

Pittsburgh's coolest building material reuse experience! Construction Junction (CJ) is Western Pennsylvania’s first nonprofit used and surplus building material retailer. Founded by the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) in 1999, CJ has grown to a staff of 34 employees. CJ’s 100,000 square foot space supports it retail and warehouse operations. The organization records approximately 10,000 donation “events” of building material annually from the general public, contractors, and businesses. Donations are dropped off at our facility, picked up by our free box truck service or deconstructed by our crew. CJ also gives back to the community with a program called ReGives which provides donations of building materials to arts and educational nonprofits. CJ has developed innovative partnerships with many organizations, including Goodwill, Project Re_ and Reuse Retail to maximize the benefits of reusing building materials.
