Kitchen CPR

My wife and I just completed an ambitious kitchen renovation project in York Harbor which included removal of two walls, all cabinetry, countertops, lighting, appliances and flooring. The general contractor stated that creating the custom cabinets was the key element to finishing the project on time, in our case, eight weeks. Tim and Donna Decker, owners of kitchen CPR did indeed come to the rescue. Their skill, creativity, extraordinary work ethic and gracious behavior cannot be overstated. Design challenges were resolved with such confidence and apparent ease, a consequence of their many years’ experience as well as their talent. Tim and Donna listened to our every desire and produced the highest quality product we had ever seen.. They met their commitment, keeping the project on track. In fact, not only was the work completed on the day it was promised, but it came in on budget, “On time:” and “on budget”:are terms rarely earned these days. But as a bonus, they became our friends. Honest, smart, playful conversation added immense joy to our experience. In fact, we all felt a sense of loss when the final step was taken. We hope to keep our friendship alive for years to come. I can’t say enough about Tim and Donna and their install team - I wouldn’t look anywhere else. They are professional, excellent craftsmen and fair in price. They are very committed to making the deadline they set. Our kitchen started as a cabinet refacing project, but with idle Covid time became an entire redo - Tim designed and built the island and rebuilt 1/2 of the cabinets - customizing to exactly what we were hoping for. He also went above and beyond helping us size the counters, building a stand alone cabinet with charging drawers, plus adding under counter lighting - our kitchen looks amazing. If you are considering a kitchen remodel, I enthusiastically and highly recommend Kitchen CPR. I had been dreaming of updating our kitchen since we moved into our home 15 years ago. I contacted Tim and Donna after seeing a recommendation for Kitchen CPR on Facebook, and it was the smartest decision I've made in a long time. The offered *exactly* what I was looking for -- a combination of refacing, retrofitting, and custom cabinetry -- all constructed in a cohesive way with the highest quality materials that I know will last for years to come. I liked the overall layout of our kitchen but everything was dated and less functional than today's modern kitchens offer. Tim and Donna had excellent ideas for us to add certain features and enhance functionality while giving everything a modern look and feel. They offered suggestions and options, guiding us through the design process and helping us make good choices along the way. They are truly a pleasure to work with, and we are absolutely thrilled with the work they did for us. One of the major things keeping us from doing our kitchen sooner was the fear of living through a major construction project. With three kids and two dogs, the thought of weeks or months of renovation was daunting. The first time we met with Tim, he said he could complete our kitchen in 5-10 days. He meant it - and it was 10 days start to finish! We even had the use of the kitchen half the time while he was doing the installation. He was fast, respectful and cleaned up beautifully every day before the team left. Since we were able to keep much of our existing cabinet framework in place, the cost was a fraction of what we might have paid had we done a full remodel with all new cabinetry. (And it looks and feels brand new!!) And the cabinets and shelves that were custom-made are gorgeous, match everything else perfectly, and were worth every penny. Tim and Donna are also amazing people who have great integrity and take great pride in their work. They show up when they say they will show up; they communicate frequently and in a timely manner; and they do what they say they will do. No hidden surprises or problems, no delays, and no unexpected added expense. Our project was on time and on budget. And we can see and feel the quality in the materials and craftsmanship - I had high expectations and still I am blown away at how beautiful everything looks and feels.
