Rye Transitional Kitchen Update

We RESURFACED the existing cabinets (yes, really, this is our resurfacing work!) into this crisp, clean and modern shaker style kitchen. Outdated valances at each window were removed which opened up the kitchen even more, drawing one's sight up to the vaulted ceiling, making it feel even taller.

We RESURFACED this kitchen island. Really! We updated the look to new shaker-style (w/a bevel) doors and drawer fronts, as well as including matching end panels. We retrofitted everything on this side of the island, creating an additional drawer at the top and pullout spice racks on each side.

We RESURFACED this cabinet. The cabinet's interior was eventually painted - snapped this photo too soon! The color is our own mix we call "Custom Calm."

We RESURFACED the existing cabinets and changed a strange, open shelf into another cabinet (on right, at the wall) and removed outdated valances at each window to give the room a more open feel. We retrofitted base cabinets with two doors into a base of all drawers for smarter storage.

We resurfaced this kitchen, and retrofitted and rebuilt parts of it. For example, the upper cabinets between the 2 windows used to have a strange, open shelf all the way to the right, and soffits at the windows gave this great space a closed-in feel. Custom transformation!

We retrofitted everything on this side of the island. Formerly just a small storage space, we built and installed spice racks here on both ends.

This side of the island has pullout shelves behind those doors for seldom-used items (since it's accessed on the seating-side).

We RESURFACED these cabinets and retrofitted some, changing two doors into great, big drawers. Drawers hold a TON and with the soft-close hardware, they glide into place no matter what is stacked inside.

We RESURFACED the existing cabinets in this kitchen and updated the style to a modern shaker look. The valance at the window as removed, giving this spot a more open feel.
