Ortiz Tile

Ortiz was hired to install a new tile kitchen backsplash and caulk at the backsplash/counter joint. The caulk dried defectively (it was discolored) and there were numerous locations where no grout had been installed between tiles. He came and repaired. The caulk again dried discolored. I contacted him and he said he was too busy to fix and I should just hire someone else to fix it. Why should I hire someone else when I already paid him thousands to do the job? I'm very disappointed that he doesn't stand behind his work.

Very experienced professionals that do beautiful work. Great communication and easy to schedule. They went the extra mile to make sure the pan to our curbless shower was installed correctly and passed inspections. Highly recommended

We cannot praise Guillermo Ortiz enough for his tile work on both our fireplace mantle and our dining room floor. He is so meticulous and careful and a joy to watch. Our fireplace mantle is beautiful with talavera hand painted tiles and Guillermo saved the day because we did not buy enough tiles through our own faulty measurements. He magically found a way to make it work. Our next project with him was to retile a very old linoleum tiled dining room with Saltillo tiles chosen by my husband who has always loved that look. These tiles were made of concrete and probably not the easiest material to work with but Guillermo and his team were so careful in laying in the tiles despite our not very leveled house. We loved the old world look. The result is just stunning. Without any hesitation I'd hire Guillermo Ortiz again.

Guillermo Ortiz was a pleasure to work with for our bathroom remodel. He was prompt, neat, and efficient in the work that he performed. We identified the majority of the work we wanted performed in advance but Guillermo helpfully provided suggestions and alternatives as the work progressed based on his experience in installation and items he found after demolition. The project involved the removal of the original shower stall, tub, cabinet, and floor tile and the installation of a new walk-in shower, wall and floor tile, and cabinets. While the majority of the work was related to tile, he also included the plumbing rework, some electrical changes, and new paint. I highly recommend Guillermo and we will definitely contact him again for any future tile work.

I found this contractor far more than competent. Guillermo was very accommodating and a dream to work with. Very open to discussion and very knowledgeable about what we wanted and the best way to proceed with our bathroom renovation. Always punctual and lives up to promises and deadlines. Everything was done in a professional manner and no detail was too minor. We recommend him highly and will use him again in future projects.
