Stone Source

Stone Source in Plymouth MN had a good selection of granite and quartzite slabs, but their installation was terrible. If you buy slabs from them, I highly recommend you have someone else do the fabrication and install. Stone Source did extensive damage to our custom cabinets when they installed the island countertop (over $1,000 in damage) and will not pay for the damage because according to my salesperson, "In the signed contract, it states that Stone Source is not liable for damage to cabinets as it is a construction site and you are acting as your own general contractor. I spoke with the team and unfortunately Stone Source cannot cover the charges." The contract said "Care will be exercised during installation & removal of counters; however scrapes, punctures, or digs to wall surfaces are possible, as are scratches & scrapes to cabinetry & appliances, and construction dust. These are considered incidental damages & are the customer's responsibility to repair." I saw this in the contract prior to install and asked my salesperson about this and she said not to worry about it because they never damage the counters. I think over $1,000 in cabinet damage is more than incidental and very unprofessional! They did not take any ownership for the damage they caused. I did have a separate general contractor so don't really understand their response and what that has to do with Stone Source damaging the cabinets. In addition, they had to come out 3 times (so far) to fix the seam where the pieces of quartzite meet. The silicone, or whatever they use, keeps coming out and leaving a hole between the pieces. I now have a nice big ugly seam. On top of all of this, when they installed the countertops, they dripped the sealant down one of the cabinets and had no solution for getting the drip stains off. I do NOT recommend them!!!!

We had chips in our granite countertops. I love the counters but hardly could see anything except those chips. We called Stone Source to see if it was repairable or had to be replaced. They asked for pictures. We sent pics, they determined they could fix it. 6 months after the repair and my counters still look amazing. I can’t even find the repair spots. Seriously magic. Also, they were prompt and responsive. The cost was much lower than I expected. The technician was professional and respectful. Thank you!

Really disappointed,very bad quality of stones when they put the stones on they look like 2 different types of stones,there's lines you can see were they connected it as well damaged my cabinet while doing the installation,higher price then other places you can find better places and pay that much for a better look and better quality as well as better work. I don't recommend this place to people. I e-mailed them to complain about the damages they did as well sent pictures of it and they suggested I pay them $300 just to come and check it out that's crazy. Don't recommend this to people.

My experience with Stone Source was excellent. I connected with Jason right away, and he was very personable, professional, highly responsive, and always put my best interests first. He answered my one million questions in person and by email, and was always honest and clear. His professional qualities are everything a homeowner looks for and appreciates when undertaking a design project. I highly recommend Jason and Stone Source!

Our entire experience with Stone Source was just great. Emily was so friendly and helpful. Their selection was very large and we were able to browse through the slabs at our leisure. So much to look at but we found the one we wanted. The measure task was completed quickly and professionally and the install went much faster than we anticipated. I had an incredible experience with Stone Source. I worked with Kelsey who was amazing. She gave me great ideas and pointed out things I would never have thought of on my own. I replaced the counters in my kitchen and Josh and Christian did a great job with the installation. They were on time, meticulous and they made the kitchen look like a completely different space. The entire process was seamless and they did such a great job each step of the way, I could not be happier.

Truly a five-star job. From the consultant on the floor to the installers, the project went off just great!! Nicole at the front desk was most helpful in helping to pick out the product, with recommendations that turned out to be most helpful. The installers were very professional, arriving on time, with accuracy and top-notch performance made out kitchen look like new. We love both the bathroom granite countertop and the kitchen quartz choice. Many thanks!!

We are in love with our granite. From start to finish the process went smooth and as expected (including prices...no hidden fees, etc). As soon as I walked into Stone Source the designers greeted me and took me through all of my options. Very friendly place, even dog and kid friendly. We shopped around a bit for granite prices in the metro and they beat the competitors. Installation went as anticipated---lasted a couple hours, no hiccups or delays and the guys were nice. The countertop is exactly as expected---corners rounded, overhang measurements, etc. We keep staring at the stone and picking out all the different colors and characteristics---it's really fun. In short, everything went well, we LOVE the countertop, and are very happy with everything Stone Source has provided.

We have the most beautiful honed caesar stone quartz counter tops! Niccole Branson at Stone Source directed, assisted and accommodated all of my needs, including a crucial last minute change that i made. It was really nice to have experienced and capable people helping me with my remodel.

Amazing showroom! SO many cool types of stone, and a huge selection of slabs. More than I've seen anywhere, and in a beautiful indoor warehouse. I think I have ideas for 20 years of projects! I worked with Krista at StoneSource for my bathroom vanities and to have slabs cut for windowsills as well. She was great, and helped me find some incredibly cool honed (not shiny) marble that had almost a wood grain -- and it looks amazing around my windows! I also have to say they are so easy to work with -- after they measured everything, i decided I wanted to move the faucet hole in my vanity countertop and they just decided to do that on the spot during installation, Because I got it in time, the change was no big deal.

We LOVE our new granite! Krista was great to work with. She was very patient with us throughout our project. She answered all our questions and offered great suggestions on which pieces would look good together. She even came out the day of install to make sure things went smoothly. I has a very specific look I was going for the kitchen of my 1907 house. I walked into Stone Source Plymouth not really expecting to find anything in my price range. I told Krista my wishes and the second slab she showed me was perfect! Discounted to the point of affordable! Being on a budget I had priced out stone at a big box retailer. Stone Source allowed me a better product at the same price! Expert installation. I love my new countertops.
