Natural Stone Institute

When we start researching technical things about stone, we always start by asking "What does the MIA+BSI say about this?" The Natural Stone Institute is the most important trade association in the world and I think that’s recognized by most people internationally within the stone community.

Rocky Mountain Stone has been a member of the MIA+BSI: The Natural Stone Institute for almost 20 years. Our involvement has given us access invaluable resources such as the ability to present CEU courses to architects and designers, educational workshops, and instant connections to stone companies worldwide. We have also been accredited as a natural stone fabricator and commercial installer which helps our potential customers understand the high quality standards we have committed to. As a countertop fabricator, I consider our membership with them one of the most valuable assets I have.

Pacific Stoneworks Inc. has been a member of the MIA since 2003. We are proud of being affiliated with an organization dedicated to improving the quality standards and safety of all involved in the stone business. Resources such as the Dimension Stone Manual and MIA website have been invaluable to our business as well as having attended numerous workshops and training seminars over the years.
