After we chose the wool carpet we wanted, the manufacturer recommended FLOOR of Houston. Their estimate was much higher than any other we've received for carpet work, both cost and sq yds required. In the end, we wanted a very professional installation done so we went with them. The install day came, and instead Michael, the owner was on site. Despite the sale rep having told us the installers had experience with the carpet we chose, the lead installer said he had never installed it before. Later the sales rep repeated that he had. There were some issues such as seams that needed rework. The installer had to cut 2" from either side of the seam and then try to redo the work. The remaining carpet was too short to finish well. FLOOR agreed to replace all of the carpet in the open area and that it would be from the same lot as the original. The COVID-19 shutdowns impacted the resumption of work, but finally they were back on site. Even before they finished the day, we sent photos to the sales rep showing the difference in the color of the new carpet versus the previous work. She told us that Michael wanted to come on site to assess the work. He gas-lighted us about everything and has refused any further contact. We are left with defects. The hole shown in the first picture actually leaves bare sub-floor showing. They took material to make small rugs and have not returned it. Find a different company for your carpeting needs.

Michael at FLOOR has worked with me on two custom rugs for my home. The first is a seagrass rug for my odd shaped living room. He came to my house to cut and seam it so that it was a perfect fit. It is a perfect, classic seagrass rug that I get so many compliments on. The second and more recent rug he has made for me is an antelope hide print rug for my son's room. Again, the room is an odd shape, so he and his team came to my house to cut and seam it so that it looks perfect! Not only do I LOVE the rugs (quality, appearance, size, fit, etc), but the customer service was unbelievable. No matter what question I had, Michael listened and addressed it almost immediatly. I expected a lengthy wait for a custom rug, but he was at my house measuring within a day of my initial call and the rug was perfectly cut and seamed in the rooms within 2 weeks. Truly, I cannot say enough great things about FLOOR.

FLOOR and Michael Baird are a breath of fresh air when it comes to companies out there in the home building/remodeling business. I had a bad experience with another company and called Michael just for advice. The next thing I know he is sending over his guys to fix someone else's mess and he is paying for it! It's businessmen like this who restore your faith in humanity. It's not just about making money, but also being one of the "GOOD GUYS". I have used them for several of my flooring jobs and will NEVER use anyone else! Great products and great guys!

Love this place! Customer service was amazing and the rug I ordered was delivered on time and installed by a professional and courteous crew. I will definitely go to them for my future flooring needs.

I am a decorator and have hired Michael Baird at Floor on numerous occasions for carpet. He always provides excellent service. He clearly knows his products: if I pick a material unsuitable for a specific application he tells me. If I tell him I am working under a tight budget, he will show me cost effective options. He is knowledgeable, responsive, solution-oriented and a pleasure to work with.
