My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Dave Bennett of 360 Renos, Ottawa, ON, Canada is the most organized and reliable general contractor I have ever known. His project quotes are so detailed and descriptive that there are virtually no surprises for anyone once the work starts. He handles changes with grace and issues in a co-operative, solutions-based manner. Since 2012 I've worked with clients with great confidence, knowing that Dave and his team of skilled and polite trades will be there to implement the project exactly as discussed and quoted on. We got their name from a friend and have had them quote on work/repairs that need to be done on our recently purchased house. Dave was pleasant, informative, open and honest about the work to be done, and willing to give us recommendations of other trades people for work he didn't handle. We are very fortunate to have worked collaboratively with 360renos on a number of projects. Dave's business and ours are similar yet when we come together on a project we complement one another's teams and provide our mutual clients with an end project that is above par.
