41 West has the sales of the project down but the follow thru was lazy and did not make the process enjoyable. And that had nothing to do with it taking close to 9 months when it was planned at 3-4. I will admit I have high expectations but sloppy work ,cracks in a wall, incorrect baseboard in one , using a different manufactures paint than what we asked for, incorrect shower head, placing tile upside down from the direction I asked for were just some of my issues. I expect that a company that charges top dollar pricing delivery quality work. I also had more faith in their designer than I should have and we now have a shower bigger than the laundry room! Probably if your not remodeling long distance you have a better shot of getting what you want.

I talked with BJ today about a project I saw on Houzz. Although I live in another state, he spent a tremendous amount of his time answering my questions about his project and offering suggestions and solutions to my own project. In 2014, 41 West completed a "decorator ready" condo for me on Marco Island. The cost of the project was $400,000. The entire experience with their team (Paul was my main contact and Brian was the job superintendent) was a pleasure. The design work and the quality of craftsmanship was excellent. Management and on-site workers were always courteous and professional and I was kept up to date on the progress of the construction. The project was on time and on budget. In fact, I have never had a better experience with a contractor and I cannot recommend 41 West highly enough.

We hired 41 West for a complete remodel of our vacation home in Cape Marco in Marco Island. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with 41 West as well as with our end product. First, the process: when we first contacted 41 West our phone call was actually answered by BJ. He talked us through their process and it was exactly as he described. Paul then spoke with us and we moved forward with initial plans. The thought and detail that went into the plans told us that these guys know what they're doing, and they do it well. Once we finalized the plans 41 West presented us with a 3-D rendering of what our home would look like as well as a timeline that included EVERYTHING, with assigned dates. From day 1 we knew what would be happening every week throughout the process - and 41 West stuck to the timeline. Keeping in mind we were managing this process from Ohio, we made only three visits during the construction process. One visit we made to do selections, and with the assistance of 41 West and Little Palm Design, we managed almost everything in a couple of days. Our second visit finalized selections and appliances. Our third visit was solely to check on progress. On each of these three visits - one being just after demo, one being midway through the process, and one being about 80% through the process, we found our home to be neat and orderly. This told us that 41 West takes pride in their work and is committed to quality and requires the same from their workers and their subs. On each visit they talked us through their progress and asked any questions. In our interactions with their staff on these visits, we can say that you would have to look long and hard to find a group of more professional, knowledgeable, ethical, communicative, considerate, and genuinely good people. From BJ picking up the phone when we first called, to Paul who is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and communicative, to Brian who was on-site to oversee the workers and to ensure the quality on which 41 West prides itself, and Jimmy who goes out of his way to make sure everything is to your liking. And this is representative of all of their staff with whom we interacted. And our final product - it's exactly what we wanted. The design is perfect for our family. The quality of materials and workmanship is outstanding. And their responsiveness following completion is every bit as good as it was throughout the process. As we visit we keep a "punch list". If convenient for us, they will address it while we are there or, if we rather, they will do it after we leave. We truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with 41 West. I highly recommend them.

41 West did a complete renovation of our 3 bedroom condo, including the kitchen, 3 baths, and flooring throughout. We are very happy with the result. Paul Widhalm had many creative ideas that we wouldn't have thought of on our own. For example, reducing the depth of the soffits and increasing the height of the doorways to make the ceilings look higher; installing a tray ceiling in a room that looked odd because it had soffits (needed for AC and radon vent) on 2 walls, so now it looks like a design feature; putting beams in the living room ceiling to provide ample lighting for the many readers in my family; and replacing the unused bidet in the master bath with a cabinet to provide storage. Also we were very impressed by the company's desire to make sure that the end product was EXACTLY what we wanted. For example, Paul redesigned the wall unit in the family room when our carpenter's version turned out to be not at all what we wanted.

As the general contractor for our luxury high rise condominium, 41 West did a marvelous job in creating and executing the design we had envisioned. Finished off a decorator ready unit at the Veracruz building in Marco. Tile floors, library, bathrooms, kitchen cabinet rework, fireplace finishing, crown molding all rooms. I had already hired this Company to carry out a minor project for me in 2009 and whilst the project was very small in comparison to their overall building projects I received the very best of attention from all of the employees at 41 West and moreover their pricing was very competitive. So when I decided to purchase a plot of land and build a family home I had no hesitation in contacting 41 West for a quotation to build our new home. I did "shop" around and did get compensative prices from other builders bur again the service and advice I received from 41 West and because of their past history I engaged them to build our bespoke home. They laid the "slab" in January '12 and by August '12 we had a new home!!! The quality of workmanship left nothing to be desired and still to this day they are in contact with me ensuring that any minor niggles are sorted out. I should also mention that I reside in the U.K. and I only had time to visit the build project on a couple of occasions so it was very reassuring knowing that a project of this size (over 1.3 million dollars) was in very capable hands.

Reason they provided a more creative and imaginative approach, while not the least expensive clearly within the range. Job completed on time and outstanding. Master bath remodeling project. 41 West was highly professional, efficient, and performed the remodeling project on time as planned. We were out of town during the work schedule but were kept up to date through photos and phone contact. The cost was significantly higher than initially estimated but the quality of workmanship was excellent.

In 2010 41West renovated 2 bathrooms and added a half bath in my home in Naples FL. They created very innovative plans for each area and met my every need. The project was done in the summer during my absence and I was kept abreast of all details on a regular basis. I had interviewed several other GC's before deciding on 41 West. BJ Barone and his team stood head and shoulders above my other potential choices because of their professionalism and experience. Not only did they do the remodel to precision but Paul Widhalm (41 West Partner) also provided several design ideas that saved me thousands of dollars that would have been spent on an interior designer. I knew what I wanted and they delivered -- exceeding my expectations by a mile. The supervisor on my project (Dan Medina) oversaw the project from demolition to completion. He did an excellent job of making sure subcontractors were starting and finishing their jobs not only properly but also in accordance with the Condo Association By-Laws. I live in New York and needed to feel confident that the job was going to get completed to perfection in a timely fashion while I was 1300 miles away. They nailed it. Not only is 41 West a professional and experienced General Contractor but it is also a company with great people.
