Josh and his crew of skilled workers created two beautiful bathrooms for my husband and I. The workmanship was superior and the workers were courteous and considerate. The work areas were curtained off with heavyweight plastic that kept any debris from entering the other living areas and any debris in the work area itself was swept up and hauled away daily. Josh coordinated everything so that the work flowed smoothly. He was on hand to answer any questions when needed and worked closely with Bryon who was on site for much of the work. Our two outdated bathrooms turned into up to date spaces with great magnetic shower heads and my dream bidet. The rain glass barn door opened up the space and added light to an otherwise dark space. I also love the coated glass shower doors that don’t show up any water marks. Big thanks to you Josh and all your workers!!!

AMAZING!! I reached out to Adlyn after feeling defeated by my nightmare of a 1960’s basement and two previous contractors who did nothing but make the situation worse. What started off as a small flood in the laundry room from washing machine turned into a full demolition and gut of my entire 1100 square foot basement because of terrible customer service from a large reno company and rogue decision making by a “neighborhood contractor”. Months of multiple google and social media searches later, I found Adlyn and saw nothing but consistent 5 star reviews. Josh responded immediately and wasn’t scared off by the horror stories I shared with him. From the initial consultation to the start of the project, Josh was always upfront about the scope of work that needed to be done, including what didn’t need to be done, the cost of the work and the best use of my investment. From detailed renderings, thorough quotes – and exceptional patience with my revisions, and clear communication, we were able to come up with a plan that met the needs of my family, my budget, my timeline, housing code requirements and most importantly my peace of mind. Not only is Josh meticulous when it comes to his work and the work of his employees, he is even more particular about the subcontractors that he works with. Each of his subcontractors also were fantastic and incredibly skilled. I was also immensely impressed with the number of talented tradeswomen who he employed. As someone who also works in a male dominated field, I found it incredibly refreshing to see a construction company who openly supports women and provides equal opportunities for growth. It was my first experience living through renovations and the whole process was much easier than I was expecting. The contractors were always great to deal with and Josh was always available to answer my many questions and keep me updated on the progress. We were happy with the results and would definitely recommend!

Hired Josh to install a range hood fan exhaust pipe/roof vent and demolish a wall in our kitchen. As well, specified that the cabinets removed remain intact for a separate use. From consultation to completion of work Josh was very professional, easy to work with, and the job was done very well and quickly. The staff Josh brought in were friendly and did a great job keeping dust and debris in the work area with proper plastic barriers + HVAC system, and they laid down a carboard walkway for themselves which protected our newly refinished hardwood floors. He had tested the drywall and flooring beforehand for asbestos which was a nice safety precaution as per his recommendation. The cabinets that were removed were in great shape with no damage. Items I accidentally forgot in the one cabinet were removed and placed in a neat pile! Would highly recommend to others for quality work for a fair price along with friendly staff.

Adlyn/Josh came to fix our basement renovation that was botched (understatement) by a previous contractor. We had been nearing the end of our renovation, when we thought we would never finish, and we were dissatisfied with the quality of the previous contractor (crooked walls, creaky floors, sharp/uneven tile cuts, failure to install heating ducts, failure to discover mould and moisture in basement, building code deficiencies). It was hard to find a contractor to take over a partially completed project, but Adlyn took on the challenge. Josh was always quick to answer our questions, and upfront and fair with pricing. Adlyn has great relationships with quality trades, at least from what we saw. We could see this, because when we needed a problem investigated (cold basement), he was able to get a reputable HVAC specialist on the ground shortly to investigate, and then repair (add the missing heating ducts). In addition to their excellent work, Adlyn's employees/carpenters are professional, courteous, and it was a pleasure having them in our home. Work with subtrades/subcontractors was generally seamless. We were always updated about when someone would be arriving to our home. I specifically recall positive interactions, and quality work, from drywall, painting, HVAC, countertops, flooring, tiling, electrical and plumbing. The quality of workmanship is excellent. Josh was upfront about pricing, and provided transparent and organized billing. We would definitely use Adlyn for future projects and have no hesitation in recommending Josh and Adlyn.

Josh and his company go above and beyond for their clients which is rare to see with a general contractor. Him and his team put up plastic sheeting and utilize drop cloths to maintain the comfortability of his clients and always seems to have an organized plan of attack for any job. The workmanship provided by Adlyn is second to none! I’m picky, like “I-use-a-Shop Vac-to-clean-off-my-driveway” picky and for someone to impress me with their attention to detail is outstanding. My house is small and I didn’t have an area where I could sit down and eat, besides the coffee table. I was tired of it and had wanted to renovate for a few years but wasn’t sure of exactly how I wanted to change it. Josh and I collaborated on the design of the kitchen and when the project was ready to begin in early 2020... COVID hit. I decided to postpone and Josh was very accommodating. When the project started, I moved out because there was no kitchen and all of my furniture and belongings were now in the basement. Whenever I popped by the house, it was always in order as much as it could be. The floors were swept, the stairs to the basement were taped off with plastic sheeting so my belongs didn’t get dusty, the garbage was taken out and recycling was in order. Josh made helpful suggestions during the project, things I never even thought of - lighting in the hallway (what a difference!) - lightning in the corner of the living room (it’s a functional showpiece) - painting the whole top floor (I’m soooo glad I did it). Any question or concern I had was always addressed promptly and professionally. I am now typing this review sitting down at a gorgeous countertop eating area and looking at my amazing kitchen that I’m absolutely in love with!

Josh Hudon is an ace of a contractor. He loves what he does and is committed to his clients. We speak from experience as we returned home from a holiday in January 2019 to the most gorgeous finished basement we could have ever imagined. In November, 2017, we hired Adlyn Construction to renovate our three bathrooms (the main bathroom, an ensuite and a basement bathroom) after another contractor was unable to fulfil his agreement to do so. Josh and Adam did an amazing job. Both of them are hard-working, knowledgeable, polite, friendly, respectful, dependable and reliable. They listened to our ideas and concerns, and offered great advice and suggestions. Despite the renos being a challenge at times, Josh assured us that he was a “problem-solver” and he did not disappoint. He is meticulous in all that he does, and does not quit until everything is working as they should be. Adam has the same work ethic. We are very happy with the end result and will not hesitate to contact Josh for our next renovation project. It was our pleasure dealing with Josh and Adam. They are very personable and caring individuals, and they made our renovation experience positive and rewarding. They take pride in their work and it shows! We will definitely recommend Adlyn Construction to our family and friends. Josh followed up with us in the summer of 2018 to determine if we had any issues or concerns with respect to our new bathrooms. There was only one minor issue involving the basement bathroom door sticking and not closing well. This issue was resolved promptly.
