Alter Construction has a great team that is on your side. They renovated our first floor after it was flooded from a water leak. Eli presented his plan and cost estimate, and stuck to it. More than that, he didn't nickel and dime us for anything. They painted a third coat on the ceiling without charging us. We really wanted the pantry replaced by kitchen cabinetry, but the cost was a concern. Eli saw how important that was for us and did not charge us for the demo of the pantry, the drywall repairs, texturing and repainting. He wanted us to have the kitchen we envisioned, and we are so grateful for that. His employees are responsible. Friendly and know what they were doing. Job site was clean and neat every evening. At the end of each day, Eli called us with a summary of what was done and what to expect for next day. They worked fast and finished sooner then expected. I personally never heard of a remodel being done ahead of schedule and on budget. They are a great team that cares about your family and your well-being. We are very glad we met them.

We recently used Alter for the partial remodel of our bathroom after a water incident. Let me start with, you rarely encounter a contractor these days with the level of integrity and attention to detail as I experienced with Alter. From the moment I called to schedule a quote until the project finished, Eli had excellent communication and made it clear our satisfaction was his main concern, not the speed of the job or an unneeded up sale to increase profit. He recommended the best method/product to ensure longevity and quality of the result. They stayed on schedule, showed up on time everyday and finished the project on time. Throughout the project Eli would send pictures of the work as it progressed and highlighted any areas of concern he wanted to discuss. Went above and beyond, to even snaking my toilet during reinstall because they noticed it was flushing slow, only to pull a child's toy out of the toilets trap. Every step of the way Eli would meticulously double check everything done. The finished product was professional, clean and beautiful. Pricing was very competitive, I received quotes of similar and higher costs that covered less work and were more of a bandaid than a finished project. A Stunning Solution with Heart We reached out to Alter Construction with a unique challenge: we needed a safety barrier for the upstairs ledge in our home — a 20-foot drop that had become a real concern after rescuing our blind kitten, who lost both eyes during the devastating July 2025 floods. Initially, we had something completely different in mind, but Eli from Alter suggested a glass partition. At first, we weren’t sure — but it turned out to be the absolute right choice. The 3.5-foot tall glass barrier is not only secure and sturdy, but it also preserves the open, airy feel of the space. Alter team did a fabulous job bringing our bathroom vision to life. Flawless execution, timely completion and such a delight to work with. Done a handful of jobs on the house through different contractors and this company is easily the best one. He will help you every single step of the way. Starting from walking you through the house, selecting materials at the store, suggesting opinions/input, constant updates throughout the whole process, and even finishing touches that are outside of your project. He fixed a patch on a carpet that was outside of his work. He did baseboard work that was outside of his area that happened to connect to the living room. His ETA for the project was spot on too. It's insane how much detail and work ethic Eli and his company has. My wife and I love him so much that we are legit planning another project with him in the future. 100% recommend. I don't normally post reviews and I just had to for Eli.

We recently hired Alter Construction to replace and paint all the doors in our house, as well as to frame our TV cabinet, and the results were nothing short of spectacular! We had an amazing experience with Alter Construction having our bathroom shower remodeled. There was a little bit of a rocky start to the process when selecting the materials for the work, my wife and I had never been through a remodeling project before and were overwhelmed with the amount and specifics of materials that needed to be picked out. However, after getting some help and a bit of hand holding we were able to get all the materials selected and construction set a date to start construction. The construction process was a dream. We spoke to Eli everyday during the construction process, he would give updates and explain in detail how things were going. When changes were needed, Eli explained the reason for the change and layed out all of the options as well as gave his personal recommendations. There was also a week that my wife and I were out of town (my brother was staying at the house) Eli called and texted everyday with updates and pictures of the work. During the construction process, the crew that was here working throughout the day was very polite and courteous. We are so extremely happy with the finished shower, we love it so much. I cannot express enough about how happy we are about the work that was done, the crew, and about Eli. I would highly recommend and am looking forward to reaching out to Eli and Alter Construction if we decide to have any more work done around the house.

Eli with Alter Construction is an amazing GC to work with. My husband and I wanted to change out the the shower door and floor of our master bathroom. This was a small job and most GCs refused to do anything less than the entire bathroom. We spoke to someone regarding replacing the shower door and that person (Hero, with Shower Doors Today) referred us to Eli for the tile work. Eli was exceptional to work with. He spoke with us and told us step by step what to expect and what needed to be done, including any worse case scenarios that may arise. They began work within a few days. Luis, his main tile worker, was punctual and very respectful and worked efficiently and diligently. Despite not being able to use my bathroom for several days, this was an overall pleasant experience. We still need to get the door installed which will happen in a week but the tile work is beautiful and I can't wait to use my shower once everything is complete. Thank you Eli and Luis!

This is the second time we have used Alter Construction, and again they have surpassed our expectations! Our roof needed replacing after discovering years of hail damage. Alter Construction quickly met our insurance company’s estimate and began work within a day of signing the contract. The crew arrived early and had the roof stripped and replaced by noon the same day, taking every scrap of debris with them. We even made a last-minute change to the color of the shingles and they said “no problem”. Eli and Cynthia made this a positive experience. They are easy to reach, easy to talk to, professional at all times, and actually care about the work they do. Thank you, Eli and Cynthia.

I just used Alter for a second time... Small construction job to extend my concrete patio... Once again, great communication from Eli, everyone showed up a few minutes early, and the work was completed sooner than promised! What I really appreciate about Eli is that he always takes the time to thoroughly answer all the questions I have... He actually "over-communicates" so I learn even more about the "how's" and "why's" of a project. After completion of two jobs I can't imagine using anyone other than Alter.

Alter Construction gave me 5 star results combined with white glove customer care! My garage had been crashed into, and it was in shambles. Both of my vehicles were stuck in that garage, and I was stressed. One day and a phone call later, and Eli and his team had gotten my vehicles out and they started immediately setting up a timetable for all of the other work. From there on out, I never needed to call Eli because he was always diligent in calling me to give updates, and every goal was completed on time. The work was done impeccably and it exceeded all of my expectations! I highly recommend Alter Construction, and the next time I need work done on my home I won’t hesitate to call Eli!

I'm so happy with the work Alter did converting my small dining room into an office space! My #1 expectation is COMMUNICATION and Eli was perfect in this regard. I always knew what was happening, when it was happening, and my questions were always answered in a timely manner. The finished project was exactly what I wanted and the workmanship was even better than I expected!
