Arvizu Contracting

I contracted Steve to remodel my bathroom, including installing a new shower, toilet, and re-tiling the vanity, painting the walls, and installing a new lighting fixture. My old bathroom was pretty dated and there was some significant rot due to pipe leakage behind a wall. He was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the remodel, including removing the rot, redoing the piping, re-enforcing the floor with better materials, as well as installation of the new toilet, sink, and lighting. But he really shined when it came to the tile work. He has an excellent design eye and made great suggestions on picking out tiles and a color palette, coming up with a placement pattern, and executing the job with a very high degree of quality. He gave me as much freedom as I wanted to make design decisions but would also speak up when he thought I was making a poor choice. I really appreciated his honesty and his recommendations. In the end, I got a bathroom I'm really proud of and enjoy spending time in. He went out of his way to go shopping with me to help pick out tiles and fixtures and shopped around to help me find the best prices. He was very friendly and easy going, and I enjoyed working with him very much.

I am writing to recommend Steve Arvizu's work as a contractor. During his time replacing our front door and remodeling 2 bathrooms, his tremendous abilities never ceased to amaze me. He worked closely with me in decisions that needed to be made every step of the way. He is clearly an artist with tile. Now, every day, I have lovely bathrooms to use as a result of Steve's work. Arvizu Contracting has been doing home improvements for me for the past 8 years. Steve has designed and finished several projects for me and I have been very satisfied. I have had 3 bathrooms remodeled, I also have had Steve remodel my kitchen including cabinets and doors. Steve has done beautiful brick work on my front porch and has added a beautiful wrought iron railing.Steve comes by frequently to check on me and see if everything is ok. I have worked with Arvizu Contracting on a number of projects and highly recommend him. Not only is he on budget but is also very creative in helping me, as a designer, reach what my visions are for each project we have worked on! I really can't say enough reguarding his quality of work, expertise and creativity. We just finished a Wine Tasting Room at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara, California. Steve was amazing to work with and worked above a beyond expectation on getting this job done on a unusual time schedule! He is now an expert on wine barrel furniture!!

Steve completely remodeled three bathrooms in our home. He laid new wood flooring. He installed new windows and sliding glass doors. He installed fences and posts in our yard. He made an additional leaf for our dining room table as well as done other carpentry work for us. Steve has worked on our plumbing and electrical when attention was needed. He does a great job at painting, too. He can do almost anything. He is always professional, courteous and responsive. At the end of each day the area being worked on was left as clean as it possibly could be. Steve did his first job for us over two years ago and has been doing work for us ever since.

Steve has completed two remodels for us. His work is exceptional He is highly skilled in all aspects of construction He is timely and easy to work with.
