B.T.D Construction LLC

Troy Darrell did the same exact thing to me as the did to this reviewer (frnkwls). Hired Troy Darrell of BTD construction to fix my garage, first he gave me a contract and an estimated time of two weeks to finish the job needless to say, it took him six months. During the six months, we had a lot of arguments back and forth because Mr Darrell was demanding more money in advance even thought he was not doing the work. After a month of him finishing the garage, it started to fall apart (the garage is still a slight slanted, the sidings are falling off, the roofing is blowing off and the roof is leaking etc, etc) I have attached pictures. I contacted Troy Darrell and explained to him what was happening, he keep promising to fix but as of today he never did. I even got other contractors to come inspect the job and they told me that whoever did this job, did a really bad job that the garage is a disaster. PLEASE DON'T HIRE THIS GUY. He comes like a sheep in wolf clothing.

I have a case against him and his so called company in NYS Supreme Court for breach of contract and fraud. I say so called because, as of this writing, my attorney can find no record of an LLC named BTD registered in NYS or anywhere else, for that matter. I was foolish enough to give him money up front for a project that required a reasonable amount of professional skill, which he assured me he had. He took the money and did virtually no work, and it soon became clear he had no idea of how to do the job and he had blown me off and gone on to other jobs and was letting me hang because he had my money, and thought I would wait til he figured out what to do. He had already gone way past the deadline for the project and seing his incompetence, I wasnt going to let him finish it at that point, so I excercised my legal option of demanding.my money back for breach of contract. Everything I have said is true.

B.T.D. Construction was hired by me to remodel my storage house, re-build pool deck and fencing for security and safety purposes, and to redo my patio. I find Mr. Darrell and his company to be very professional, efficient, competent, and a dedicated. This Company facilitated all my requirements and successfully completed the work in a timely fashion. The cost of the project was within the scope of my budget, and the employees were very competent. They showed up to work on time, they always leave the property clean, and they were very respectful to my family. I will recommend them to anyone who need home renovation and improvement work to be done.

I hired Troy to fix a laundry list of problems, including repairing brick, installing laundry venting, and cementing old unneeded basement vents. He was incredibly professional, easy to communicate with, and very clear about his schedule and pricing. He was the lowest bid on all the work, and made it super easy to get it all done. I was relieved after working with him. His team was on time, cleaned up, and worked fast with great quality. There were no added charges or budget creep. I've just rehired him to add a shower to my powder room and redo the whole bathroom. For the first time ever, I'm looking forward to rehiring a contractor.
