The principal owner of Beluga Builders, Dennis Miles is capable and calm beyond any person I have ever met in the building industry. He is always able and willing to solve the inevitable problem that arises during any construction project. Dennis still answers our phone calls with questions about a sub-contractor or a maintenance issue with willingness to help 10 years after originally building our home. We would recommend him anytime and to anyone.

I can't say enough positive things about Dennis Miles of Beluga Builders. He and colleague, Jeff Sarris, of Bethesda Home Designs, renovated my kitchen over 2 years ago. It's beautiful. The quality of work is outstanding. What sets Dennis apart from the rest, though, is not only his skills but that he stands by his work. We had a pipe freeze this week due to extreme cold outside. I emailed Dennis and Jeff, and Dennis was here immediately to fix it. In fact, the weather was terrible this morning, schools closed, and yet he drove in the snow and high winds - over a 2 hour drive from his house - to get over here and make sure the job was done right. So many contractors would have left me stranded, dealing with random plumbers. Not Dennis. I would highly recommend Dennis/Beluga Builders to anyone looking to renovate or build a home in the area.

Dennis just completed building a new house for us. It is absolutely gorgeous, and Dennis made it all much easier than I had anticipated. He is a pleasure to work with, honest, reliable, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. He was always available to us, even on weekends. He thought ahead. For example, we never had dead spells because as soon as the house was ready he had the next set of subs there,, and he figured out in advance what we needed for a tricky tile job so that it all went smoothly instead of needing a major fix. He hires good people and he was on site twice a day--so he found problems quickly and fixed them before they became big deals. He also has an excellent eye for design and details and made a number of recommendations that improved our house. Because he gets a flat fee as a project manager, we had no change fees. Because he got actual bids before giving us our estimate, nearly all his of his budget was right on target and he was always looking for ways to save us money. He saved us about $50,000 over the course of the project. Our house was complicated to build and it came out beautifully. He also works with an amazing interior carpenter. The woodwork in our house is a work of art. I can't praise Dennis (or Greg the carpenter for that matter) highly enough. I am including some during construction photos and will add post construction in a couple of weeks.
