We had our basement remodeled and also added a theater room. Working with Berghuis Construction was great. They made everything so easy for my husband and me. We were well informed about our bduget and the timeline throughout the whole project. They are great communicators. Our project was completed on time.

Building with Berghuis Construction was not only a great experience, but one of the most fun times in our lives. Josh and his team are honest, professional, and are extremely skilled in their trades. We enjoyed every step of the build process thanks to the open and consistent communication, transparency of everything from budget to deadlines, and the excellent tradesmen who all poured over every fine detail of our home. Berghuis Contruction built our dream home, and it was truly a wonderful experience. I honestly cannot say enough good things about building with BC, and highly recommend Berghuis for your project.

Josh and crew are simply amazing to work with. This was our second build and was so stressless. BC really got to know what our desires were early which made them so helpful with suggestions. Subs worked well with the team and were great as well. If I choose to build again one day, I would go through the process all over again with BC Construction.

Highly responsive to our interests and needs. A great renovation on an older house with lots of quirks. Site manager was reliable and very helpful.

Project consistent of removal of an old treated wood deck and the construction of a new deck with composite decking, a new 16x16 three-season screen porch with cathedral ceiling with new roof tied into the existing home, and installation of new french doors leading to deck/porch. Project was completed on time and better than originally drawn up! Crew was outstanding; careful, excellent craftsmanship, spotted and resolved potential issues in advance, keep the worksite clean, and very friendly. Josh's communication was excellent at all stages. I have received a lot of compliments on the finished project. Only one minor measuring hiccup (supplier's fault), but Josh got them to fix it to perfection. I highly recommend Josh!

This is the 4th time my wife and I have hired this company. All I can say is they are everything you would want in a contractor. 1). You are given a clear and concise quote and timeline of when different tasks are to be done. 2). They use sub-contractors that have same qualities that they do. Promptness, honesty, professional, and courteous. 3). Having clear communications before, during, and after the project to make sure there are no issues or concerns. And that you are 100% satisfied. 4). Job is completed on time according to timeline given or earlier. 5). Job is completed at or below estimate/quote given. 6). Staff is professional, honest, and courteous. 7). Quality of work is second to none. This is why we have used Berghuis Construction 4 times and will use them again!

We interviewed Josh and several other builders for a remodel of our existing lake home. We knew Josh was respected by his contractors, as nearly every “trade” showed up to quote the job and yet we hadn’t even entered into an agreement or paid him dollar one. We even had one trade person during construction tell us, “he is one of the fastest paying contractors that he deals with.” I guess contractors like to get paid quickly and they do “jump” for Josh. We changed directions, sold that remodel, bought a tear-down on the same lake and we knew for sure who was going to be our builder – Josh! Having never built before we had heard plenty of horror stories. We had a MARVELOUS experience with Berghuis Construction and his complete line up of trades. Not to mention Josh’s own employees that are first rate and very talented craftsmen! Josh is extremely organized and an effective communicator and listener. The web communication tool he uses called Co-Construct keeps an electronic record of all the notes, question and answers, the specific selection(s) made, etc. It also has sections for each step of the way, as the home is being built (from ground breaking, to handing you the keys.) This allows complete visibility and transparency to the schedule and you know what to expect. Did I mention, the house was built on time. Something I have heard from other friends that doesn’t always happen. Josh, Eric (Project Manager) & Berghuis Crew went above and beyond on many areas. We want to specifically thank them for the tremendous woodworking skill they provided on the all of the custom cabinetry, ceiling, fireplace wall, den and lower level entertainment center. It is beautiful and the house is magnificent. Seriously, not a pontoon boat goes by without a lot of “pointing and pulling in close” for a look. We would highly recommend Josh for your next home or project!

Berghuis Construction is very detail oriented. With each and every one of their customers it is not about getting to the finish line, it is about gaining a customer for life.
