Bes Builder

Not every contractor is right for every person. I would be very careful with bes builder. I am planning a project that will not take place for 4-5 months. The delay is cause by wanting order cabinets from a well respected custom/semi custom maker in new hampshire. I want to update the kitchen and at least get a contractor in place before ordering the cabinets. The companies estimator gave very poor advice on cabinets. I wanted mostly drawers for base cabinets. He directly contradicted me and told me to put doors because they are cheaper. I was cleaning the kitchen when the representative arrived. The house has very porcelain tile floors. I was planing on have them steam cleaned. They actually look great. I need a ceiling in a spare bedroom repaired (drywall) due to a water heater leak in the attic. The bedroom is used as an office and some storage. Bes Builder demainded that the floors be cleaned, kitchen be sanitized by a professional, and the that the bedroom be cleared before them doing a bid. The kitchen is clean but the counter tops and cabinets are 36 years old. They will be demolished on the first day of the renovation. Just be aware. They were going to push me to their cabinet builder and are capable of taking advantage on someone. The spare bedroom has 20K of computer equipment and some of other pricey items in the closet. I was not going to let a painter get near. They could have easily verified the site a month before construction. Do not trust them on larger remodel where surprises can be found and need to be taken care of;
