BGR Design + Build

I hired BGR construction after numerous talks about what I expected and what the price range would be. I found the price range acceptable and entered a pre-build contract with BGR. Initially they were great to work with. Straight-forward, upfront, accessible, etc. After an enjoyable and productive design phase, that is where all their credibility as a company ended. Their first quote/bid to build the pre-discussed home was 115-140K (33-47%) higher than the agreed upon price range for the project. Seeing my dismay and me being upset they scrambled and tried 2 more times to bring the price within the range by stripping all but the extreme basics of housebuliding but still were well above the agreed upon build estimate range. They knew I was unhappy having already paid them a substantial amount of money for the pre-build. The owner then got involved and admitted that they had made mistakes in their process and tried to make it right. Despite that, they gave me more bids for an extremely stripped down design that never made it into their initial pre-build price range quote. I decided to not go forward with the build with this untrustworthy company. I kindly asked to be reimbursed just a portion of my pre-build costs that I felt I was due because of their deceptive bait and switch style practices but they sent me a very generic email saying they have fulfilled all heir obligations and cut of communication with me. I have been in the remodeling business and have done countless projects and have built several homes with other contractors and I have never seen a more deceptive and dishonest company. Even their bids were riddled with missing information and blatant discrepancies. I hope this review saves you the time and money that I lost by trusting in this company. You’d be better off choosing a more reputable builder.

We have just finished a complete tear out and relocation of our kitchen that included walls being removed. BGR and especially Rick and his team of very professional crew and sub-contractors did an amazing job. They were timely, courteous, cleaned up every day before leaving and did everything I asked of them. We are 100% pleased with the finished product and plan to work with BGR on a future project.

B,G & R recently did renovations in my master bathroom & kitchen and we were very pleased with the quality of their work & the professionlism of all their staff. Catherine was very helpful with all aspects of the design & Rick kept us informed as to progress & work schedules. Everyone who came to the house was courteous & professional & the work was finished ahead of schedule. I would definitely use them in the future and highly recommend them to anyone looking for new construction or renovation of existing homes.

We hired RGB to do a basement remodel, and are thrilled with the result. Rick, his crew and his staff are professionals who obviously take pride in their work, and were without exception a pleasure to deal with. They were quick to respond to questions, and completed the job in a timely manner and within our budget. Rick even suggested a change to one portion of the project that ended up saving us money. We would not hesitate to use them again (and in fact are planning to do so), and recommend them without reservation.

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of working with Rick and Blue Green Red construction. We had several projects done inside of our home and a screened in porch addition. They were very accommodating to our family with young children. The thing we most appreciated was how wonderfully Rick communicated with us and always in such a timely manner. Any issues were resolved quickly. We love everything that was done and would work with Blue Green Red again.

We are rehabbing my folks' 60 yr old home (brick ranch with basement) and originallly hired company for major foundation work. Very professional job. Was so impressed and pleased that we hired them for a 2nd major job...total gut job of original kitchen and replace with my dream kitchen...I love it! Again, a very professional job with very talented craftsmen.

Rick Digby was professional and courteous throughout our project. He kept us apprised of the financial impact of our change orders as well as ongoing status of our renovation. Al and I both appreciated his professionalism, attention to detail, and high standards. Rick worked closely with us regarding design issues and the end product is better than we anticipated. We highly recommend him and his company.

We used Blue Green & Red for our kitchen remodel, and then the next year, for a master bathroom remodel. Rick was wonderful to work with. He is a great communicator and all of his people did an excellent job (paint, tile, cabinets, etc.) Whenever we had a little snag, Rick was right there. We will definitely hire him again for any future projects.

We recently moved to GA from MA and needed to renovate a barn to fit a 12 ft lift and make it into a garage. Not knowing anyone we had no clue who to use. We tried to get a few estimates which was hard enough just to get someone to show up. We were actually driving one day and happened to be behind Blue, Green, Red Construction truck and wrote the number and called soon after. Mr. Digby came by and we liked him instantly. He was friendly, very polite, honest, and professional. He got back to us quickly with a quote. The work was exceptional. He personally kept in touch throughout the whole process. His workers were great. Cleanup of the project was outstanding. We would not hesitate to recommend Blue, Green, Red Construction. They did exceptional quality work in a timely manner with no hidden surprises.

I had Rick and his crew install pavers around my pool. Rick was very knowledgable, courteous and helpful and was always available to answer my questions. Everything came out on time and budget. His crew is top notch.

I called Rick for help making about a million repairs to a 1910 farmhouse that I hoped to purchase with a remodel loan. Although we could not move forward, I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Rick's professionalism and quick turnaround with respect to the estimates - we were under a time crunch to meet contract contingencies and he totally stepped up to the plate. He even took the time to call and explain the estimates before sending them to me. When and if we have repairs or remodeling issues in the future, we will absolutely call on Rick with Blue Green and Red Construction. Best to you and yours!

Blue, Green, & Red Construction did a wonderful job building my custom home in 2013. They paid great attention to detail and completed the job on schedule for the agreed upon price. The quality of their craftsmanship was excellent and their customer service was top notch. Follow up warranty service has also been great. I would recommend them to anyone needing a complete build or just a renovation.
